CALL TO ACTION: BOYCOTT/SABOTAGE TADC

Black fans!

After years of being made fun of and having our issues downplayed and used as a way to "joke", we are now TIRED.

The recent issue with The Amazing Digital CESSPIT cast is the last straw. It's clear that NEITHER THE WHITE FANS, NOR THE WHITE CREW, CARE ABOUT BLACK STRUGGLE.

So it's time we finally take action on our hands and show everyone that antiblackness is not a joke.

We are ANGRY.

We are TIRED.

Here is what to do:

Do not go to the screening. Do not spend any money for this shitshow and this shit crew.

Encourage others not to go to the screening. Show them what they have done, show them that this company does not deserve time or money or theater screenings.

DO NOT BUY MERCH.

Convince theaters to cancel the screening. If necessary, be angry.

ORGANIZE AND PROTEST. Be loud. Be angry. Be "uncomfortable". Disrupt the status quo, raise your voice on the issue and create chaos. There is no reasoning with a racist and we are tired of being "good" to appeal to the white man's conformity.

Gathered my thoughts a bit more and I think I’m ready to give my likely final statement on this matter.

I think Micheal’s and Ashley’s actions were very distasteful, and while I am glad they’ve addressed it, it’s not my place to forgive them. My only hope is that they continue to speak against this behavior.

As for Goose herself, those posts are certainly fucking awful, and especially the fact she hasn’t properly addressed or renounced them yet. Nevertheless, I wish the fandom was more cordial about this. ESPECIALLY, especially the white side of the fandom. We have no right to speak over Black voices.

I don’t think anyone is in the right in this situation, but that doesn’t mean I think any of them are irredeemable monsters who need to die. I don’t think any of them are irredeemable monsters who need to die, but that doesn’t mean I’ll be on Twitter calling others full-on slurs for not glazing their actions. And I’ve seen people do that! Many of them, actually!

I don’t know. This whole situation has been a fucking mess. What I do know is that I will be taking a step back from TADC and the fandom as a whole. At least for now.

This show has brought me and my girlfriend so much joy throughout its run, and I would be lying if I said it didn’t save my life once or twice, but I cannot in good conscience continue supporting this show with this looming over my head.

As such, this blog will be put into an indefinite hiatus. One last fake spoiler was scheduled ahead of time for the day of the YouTube release, but besides that, it will likely be radio-silent on here for the time being.

I’m sorry if this disappoints anybody. I’m disappointed myself, this blog was something I enjoyed doing even if I wasn’t on the dot 100% of the time. But I feel this is for the best.
