imagine if grace woke up from his coma with a little dirt still under his nails. a last piece of earth stuck with him from final moments on that planet, desperately grabbing at the grass and soil before losing consciousness.

PHM SPOILERS !!!

one detail i saw and adore that i haven’t seen talked about is this one:

when stratt is singing “remember everything will be alright.” she motions with her head and hand towards grace. in a way it seems like her almost telling him that no matter the circumstances that the crew will die, it’ll be okay. this is for the greater good and the team is okay with it too, they’ve made peace with it and are doing this for their families and friends and the whole world.

it could also be foreshadowing to when she has to send grace up after the explosion. he’s going to be alright even though he’s going to die up there. and in the end he was alright, he has rocky and all the eridians :(<3

i need to start drawing again because i have horrific ideas in mind (angst and also the one im about to share right now)

our beautiful simon iron lung would not be handsome. well, in the general sense. my theory is the shadow creature we see twice in the film is simon and oh boy…that fella is bald and mutated beyond belief. if grace went to go save simon somehow he’d be bald with a broken elongated jaw and look absolutely like something out of a typical alien movie.

that is to say he isn’t just a bunch of fleshy pieces at the bottom of the blood ocean (though i believe near the start of the movie the skeleton that looks human IS simon, stuck down there covered in vines and veins).

I LOVE BLOODYMARY A LOT BUT LOGICALLY SIMON WOULD BE LIKE THE CRONENBERG’S THE FLY AND I FIND THAT VERY FUNNY!!! I know logic isn’t the point this is a crackship but cmon it’s funny…
