· He would go absolutely insane. How dare someone try to poison his sweet kitten?

he knocked on your door to tell you dinner’s ready but he realized you were not answering him. when he slowly opened the door and attempted to knock again, he realized that you were not present in your room. something caught his eye and he slowly proceeded to reach to it. on your bed is your lyric book, where most of monsta x’s music are written. he decided to take a look at it, appreciating the work you had done in their career. he realized the folded pages on your book and decided to read through them. he sees a couple of tear stains, the song titled ‘sorry’ and felt heartbroken to how you felt that way recently when you just broke up with your ex not too long ago.
“shownu--what are you doing here?” you say as he quickly closed the book. he turned around and said,
“y/n. we need to talk.” as he sat down on your bed and placed your lyric book down.
“you know you can tell me anything, right?” he continued.
wonho.
he sat beside you on the couch and asked if you wanted to go out and grab a bite for some burgers. you quickly agreed and you closed and laid your book right next to him before he could speak as you left to change clothes real quick. when he felt the book on his thigh, he felt extremely curious and decided to open it. he smiles as he looks at the lyrics of the songs they have already covered, but sees folded pages and realizes tear stains on them. you were crying but you covered your face up with it when you sensed someone coming to the living room.
he didn’t feel too well right after reading your lyrics, so he decided to talk to you later after grabbing the food. he supported you so much through your recent breakup. but he didn’t know you felt so depressed about it.
he quickly placed the book back to the couch when he heard your footsteps.
“are you ready?” he asked you.
“of course! i am hungry.” you happily replied.
‘i know you’re not okay.’ he thought.
minhyuk.
you and the members are sitting on the couch, all watching tv as you’re writing on your lyric book. you were unusually covering your face, but none of the members noticed due to their eyes glued to the television. minhyuk is sitting next to you, his head resting on your lap and a pillow on top of his head. suddenly, you hear a phone call from your mother, and you placed the book on minhyuk’s chest as you get up to talk to your mother in your room. he made a realization that he has never seen your lyric book and took a peek at it. he suddenly sees tear stains on some of your pages. he turned around to his stomach as he’s still laying down on the couch. he felt a bit gloomy after reading your lyrics and closed your book as he got up from the couch.
“hey hyung, where are you going?” jooheon questioned him.
“i’m not going anywhere, i just need to talk to y/n real quick.” he responded as he can hear you saying your goodbyes to your mother. he quickly left the living room before he couldn’t speak due to his heart clenching for you.
“y/n, i really need to talk to you. come to my room.”
kihyun.
you and kihyun were preparing for the next mini-album release, and you asked for his help to sing some parts for you as you play the piano. your lyric book laid on the music sheet stand and you follows your orders. changkyun needed you for something really quick so you left the room to help him. he wanted to take a look at the lyrics you currently have down, but he also sees a torn lyric sheet from the book covered in tear stains and he quickly read it. he didn’t know you felt that way recently, and began to feel very worried about you.
when you came back to the room, he stood up and spread his arms for a hug. you went for it, and asked you,
“i read this.” he showed it to you as you turned your head around and realized which song it is. “do you want to talk about it? are you okay?”
he felt your heart pound quicker and harder than ever, and as soon as he heard your sniffles, he embraced you, his right hand on your head and the other on your back.
“we can do this later. tell me what’s going on, y/n.”
hyungwon.
when he just got back from grocery shopping with wonho, he sees you sleeping on the couch with the lyric book right next to you. he crouches down to look at your sleeping figure, and slowly grabs the book to move it out of your way. he suddenly had the curiosity to how you write monsta x’s lyrics and he was so happy seeing them until he saw your recent page. lots of tear stains were all over the page, and he can see some notes about your past, and he could feel the pain on his chest when he looks at you again. he could see your tears dried up on your cheeks and quietly woke you up by slightly shaking you.
“y/n, wake up. i need to ask you something.”
“hyungwon. is something wrong?” you say, barely awake.
“i read your book. do you want to talk about it...?”
jooheon.
it’s 3:00am and jooheon is sleeping beside you as he wanted to spend the night with you. you’re writing your lyrics, and you started sobbing. you tried to not be loud enough to the point that you wake up jooheon. unfortunately, you woke him up, but he pretended to sleep to see what’s going on. you proceeded to get up and use the restroom as he quickly opens his eyes to look at the book laying right beside him. he read the folded pages of the book, depressed lyrics with tiny descriptions of your last relationship with your abusive ex.
when you got back to continue writing, jooheon scared you just by hearing his morning voice.
“y/n, come here” he tells you in english. you obey to him and you scoot closer. jooheon decides to place the blanket over and cuddle with you as he groggily tells you,
“don’t you ever think about that heartless bastard. he doesn’t deserve you not even one bit. you are wonderful and precious, honey.”
changkyun.
you and changkyun have a platonic friendship, so you sit beside each other on the couch, your right leg intertwined with his left leg as he has his arm around you. he’s currently sleeping with the television on, meanwhile you’re writing your lyrics on the lyric book. you started crying, tears falling into your book. you didn’t want to wake up changkyun, so you had try being as quiet as you possibly can. you got up to leave to the bathroom, and left your book opened at the couch. changkyun woke up as he felt you leaving the couch and the book beside him. he took a good peek of your book, noticing the tear stains on the recent pages you wrote. when he read the tiny descriptions of your cheating and abusive ex who you just broke up with, he felt extremely worried for you. as he heard your footsteps, he decided to pretend to sleep as you went back to the same position.
after about a few seconds, he proceeds to embrace you as he leans forward and your back now laying on the couch.
“changkyun--”
“as someone who should be adored, cherished, and treasured, don’t ever think about him.” he used his forearm to support himself and wanted to catch a glimpse of your face.
“let me see the smile you used to show me” he could tell you’re choking back your tears as you covered your face with your hands.
