(definitely didn't forget to send this until you sent me an ask. totally 100% didn't forget.)
11. Link your three favorite fics right now
Okay I am going to go with recently read one-shots that I enjoyed this time!
fever-break by radialarch - mind the tags, its a Heated Rivalry AU with a book series I read years ago and it's really just finding all of the pressure points and fault lines of Shane's psyche and leaning on them, hard, its delightful
omicron by twnkwlf - I am not normally one for 'they don't play hockey' AUs, but this is great - a frat bros AU, part texting fic, very well done use of the format
all my perversions by probablylily - a sex tape of Ilya leaks, Shane gets obsessed with it, deep character study ensues
13. what’s a common writing tip that you almost always follow?
To really think about what your POV narrator is calling other people! This usually comes up around epithets and how its clunky for someone to refer to their best friend as 'the brown-haired one' or whatever. And that can be true, but I find it really fun to use within the narrative to signal familiarity, or shifting feelings toward someone.
A Zuko who thinks of Aang as 'Aang' vs 'the Avatar' is a Zuko at really different places in his relationship with Aang. I love to have Sokka and Katara shifting between "Hakoda" and "Dad" depending on their current feelings toward him in the conversation (or for Sokka, depending on how he needs to box Hakoda into 'Dad' or 'Chief' in order to ignore his own complicated feelings toward him). Its fun to play around with what people call each other as a tool for showing a bit of that mindset and feeling they're not necessarily actively surfacing within their own internal dialogue and narrative.
42. What’s the last fic you read? Do you recommend it?
I literally JUST started Chat Logs for CenQueers Discord Server, 2018 - 2021 by shanehollandertwentyfour, and I haven't finished it yet but I am finding it delightful. I love a social media fic and looks at the in-universe RPF community and the formatting on this is AMAZING
(definitely you didn't forget! totally you were just planning to do it later! definitely totally!)
I know next to nothing about it, and I'm feeling curious, so let's go with Tokka for the ultimate ship meme.
Krasterton. You have made me one happy gal tonight.
General:
Rate the Ship - Awful | Ew | No pics pls | I’m not comfortable | Alright | I like it! | Got Pics? | Let’s do it! | Why is this not getting more attention?! | The OTP to rule all other OTPs
How long will they last? - til death do them part bestie
How quickly did/will they fall in love? - pls it takes them half of their life, so it’s safe to say it wasn’t very quickly
How was their first kiss? - oh oh oh it was very simple. It just happened one night after they hung out; something shifted between them and they came together. I just see it happening after a long day of work when they’re hanging out and shit. A short kiss, as if it had been out of habit. And it was imperfect, leading to some apology stammering from Sokka's part and Toph to pull him in for another haha
Wedding:
Who proposed? - nope no I don’t think they got married. If they had tho, in an AU (which is how I like to think about them lol), I’d say that it was Sokka just because he really wanted to get that betrothal necklace done lol
Who is the best man/men? - Zuko and Aang pls
Who is the braid’s maid(s)? - Katara and Suki
Who did the most planning? - Neither of them. If anything, they handed everything over to Katara or she just formed a coup and took over lmfao
Who stressed the most? - …..Katara lol
How fancy was the ceremony? - Back of a pickup truck | 2 | 3 | 4 | Normal Church Wedding | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Kate and William wish they were this big.
Who was specifically not invited to the wedding? - I feel like Toph would make a show of not inviting her parents, but ultimately, someone does invite them and she’s happy that they did end up coming
Sex:
Who is on top? - Toph
Who is the one to instigate things? - …Toph
How healthy is their sex life? - Barely touch themselves let alone each other | 2 | 3 | 4 | Once a couple weeks, nothing overboard | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | They are humping each other on the couch right now
How kinky are they? - Straight missionary with the lights off | 2 | 3 | 4 | Might try some butt stuff and toys | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Don’t go into the sex dungeon without a horse’s head
How long do they normally last? - I think they last enough, especially when it’s been a minute since they’ve seen each other. They enjoy each other, I think
Do they make sure each person gets an equal amount of orgasms? - Yessiree
How rough are they in bed? - Softer than a butterfly on the back of a bunny | 2 | 3 | 4 | The bed’s shaking and squeaking every time | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Their dirty talk is so vulgar it’d make Dwayne Johnson blush. Also, the wall’s so weak it could collapse the next time they do it.
How much cuddling/snuggling do they do? - No touching after sex | 2 | 3 | 4 | A little spooning at night, or on the couch, but not in public | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | They snuggle and kiss more often than a teen couple on their fifth date to a pillow factory.
Children:
How many children will they have naturally? - 1
How many children will they adopt? - Two. I really really love the idea of them adopting. So, like, they'd adopt another bb after Sokka adopts Lin following Kanto's death
Who gets stuck with the most diapers? - Lmao, Sokka
Who is the stricter parent? - Toph
Who stops the kid(s) from doing dangerous stunts after school? - Sokka
Who remembers to pack the lunch(es)? - Sokka
Who is the more loved parent? - Toph
Who is more likely to attend the PTA meetings? - Sokka (and if Toph goes, it’s likely bc she has a bone to pick with a teacher)
Who cried the most at graduation? - No, pls, they both did, and lied about it afterward
Who is more likely to bail the child(ren) out of trouble with the law? - I mean... both of them
Cooking:
Who does the most cooking? - Sokka
Who is the pickiest in their food choice? - Sokka
Who does the grocery shopping? - Sokka
How often do they bake desserts? - Always always
Are they more of a meat-lover or a salad eater? - Lol I’m not even going to answer this
Who is more likely to surprise the other(s) with an anniversary dinner? -Sokka bc he reeks of cheese (get it? ...bc he's so cheesy)
Who is more likely to suggest going out? - Lol Toph. She loves her takeout spots
Who is more likely to burn the house down accidentally while cooking? - I was going to say Toph but Sokka might also commit accidental arson

Thanks for sending this in, bud! I hope you don't absolutely hate this <3 lol
Trying to think of ships I've seen you express any sort of interest in is next to impossible because I literally just can't remember shit.
Uh...I'll throw out Maiko and Maizula, I guess?
You probably can't think of ships I have expressed interest in because I don't know if I ever have. Mostly I like gen and don't usually read stories for the ships, but I want to procrastinate doing my homework so... yea.
“This looks…expensive,” Suki said, biting her lip.
Sokka glanced anxiously back and forth between her and the portico of a tearoom. The mural on the façade — gold-inlaid marble three times her height — made her itchy.
“‘Expensive’ as in ‘nice’?”
“As in…would bankrupt us.”
Sokka deflated.
“I just want to bring you someplace nice. It’s our first…y’know…”
She interlaced their fingers. His calluses swiped across her knuckles.
“Let’s do ‘expensive nice’ when we’re no longer fugitives in a warlord’s vacation home.” Her stomach flipped at the hopefulness in his smile. “Buy me some komodo sausage from that street vendor?”

Thank you so much @krastbannert for the ask! I had a lot of fun with this. 😆
(I’m doing a drabble-writing challenge! Send me an ask from this ship headcanons list and I’ll try to answer with a 100-word Sukka drabble.)
"if anybody were to kiss me, I would want that person to be you."
Krasterton! Thanks for leaving these, I had a lot of fun with this one, despite the idea for the plot being near-impossible for me to come up with lol.
Hope you enjoy <3

Toph hated following suspects.
Of course, she loved catching them. But she really couldn’t stand following them. There was just so much waiting involved that she would usually get bored or want to throw her head up against the wall if she’d been a sitting turtle-duck for longer than an hour. What Toph liked about her job was the action, the investigational aspects, even the deciphering, but she could really do without the stakeouts and following.
Doing so with some company, though, didn’t make the task too excruciating at least.
Currently, she sat on a bench outside a rinky-dink bar, her feet planted firmly on the ground with her deputy chief to the left of her. The two of them were following a potential lead in their investigation into a series of kidnappings in the City. Potential, meaning that they were following someone who was likely not a person of interest.
“See anything?” Toph asked Kanto, her arm hanging off the back of the bench.
After gulping down a bit of his tea, he said, “Nope. Feel anything?”
“Nope.”
“This is ridiculous,” Kanto said with a groan, standing up to stretch his limbs and pace around. “Why are we even here anyway? This shouldn’t be up to us. You’re a pretty recognizable historical figure – you shouldn’t even be on a stakeout right now.”
He was right, it wasn’t up to them. President Raan had hand-picked both the chief and her deputy to be the heads of this kidnapping case because his daughter had been one of the victims. It was understandable, but chiefs and deputy chiefs were not usually on cases like these what with the plethora of cases they had to handle daily. But the president insisted that he wanted “the best of the best,” and that happened to be Toph and Kanto.
And Toph might not be the best pick for a stakeout, it was true, but she sure was good at following a trail, so she went on them, despite how much she hated them.
“You know why. According to the president, you and I are the bee’s knees,” Toph said feeling just as fed up as he sounded. Then, she stood and snatched his tea out of his hand, a smirk on her lips. “Keep up, Hotshot. Don’t play dumb.”
Kanto scoffed, and she felt him try to take the tea back from her, but she moved it from his reach before he could. He sighed exaggeratedly. “We may be the ‘bee’s knees,’ but I sure don’t want to be at this very moment because I value my position.”
She raised a defiant brow. “Are you saying that I don’t value my position?”
“Aha-ha,” Kanto laughed nervously. “I would never-”
“This means war, my dear,” she said, jabbing her finger into his chest. Then, she brought the tea to her lips and took a sip. When the liquid filled her mouth, she sputtered and spat it out. That was disgusting. “A definite war if that’s how you drink your damned jasmine tea. Who puts milk in their tea, you dipshit?”
“What’s wrong with a little milk and sugar in my tea, huh? It’s good,” Kanto said, snatching the cup back from Toph, whose face was still contorted in distaste.
“Yeah, good for nothing.”
“You wouldn’t know because you don’t have taste.”
Toph poked her tongue into her cheek. “So now you’re coming for my taste? Do you value your job, Deputy?”
Kanto was silent, and she was relishing in the speedy heartbeat she felt beneath her feet. She tried to keep a straight face. But then, she noticed some movement and yelling from the bar they had been staking out.
Her partner was about to give her a nervous response, but she held up a hand and pulled at his arm. “What do you see?”
It took him less than a second to catch on to what she was referring to. She loved that about him.
“Suspect’s outside arguing with someone… It looks like they’re wrapping it up now because the other guy stormed off,” Kanto said, telling her what he saw unfolding. “Our suspect just went back into the bar.”
“Cool. Let’s go,” Toph said determinedly and pushed the tea out of his hand, trying not to snort at the groan he let out, and quickly crossed the street toward the bar before he could stop her.
Kanto was right behind her and when she made it to the front of the bar, he grabbed her wrist. “What the hell are you doing? You can’t just- you’re Toph Beifong. They’ll know who you are if you show face. We’ve been over this.”
Toph bit her lip at that, then tsked. “Don’t worry about that. I’ve got a plan.”
She did not, in fact, have a plan. But they were out of their uniforms, so that could serve in her favor.
As if reading her mind, he muttered, “You and plans don’t go together if I’ve been taking point on you correctly.”
“Ah, so you’ve been taking point on me, have you?”
There was a beat of silence and his heartbeat quickened. Hastily, he said, “Oh, look, the guy the suspect was arguing with came back.”
“‘Course he is.” Great timing, she thought with a smirk. Toph loved getting under Kanto’s skin, especially when she caught wind of his little crush on her. It was adorable, it really was. And she couldn’t say that she didn’t slightly return the sentiment. Slightly. It was on only rare occasions that she ever thought of him hotly running her hands up and down her arms or kissing her neck in the spot she knew she’d react to.
Only rare occasions.
“What’s going on? What can you see?”
Kanto leaned over a bit to look through what she could only assume was a window into the bar. “I can’t really see him, or get a read on him. His back’s toward us. It’s also… really dark, so I can’t really see anything much out here.”
The two of them stood, waiting for something to happen, but nothing did. She leaned against the wall of the bar with Kanto directly in front of her, and she could sense that he was hyperfocused on whatever he could see. The minutes ticked by like molasses, so much so that she felt herself drifting off into slumber until she just barely felt footsteps in their direction accompanied by an angry voice that said, “Who the hell are you two? You’ve been following me all night.”
Toph was suddenly wide awake, straightening herself out and yanking the tie that was holding her hair together out. She could feel Kanto both panicking internally and wondering what she was up to. Here goes nothing, she thought as she balled the front of his shirt in her hands and pulled him into her, her lips crashing into his. He let out a surprised gasp into her mouth but melted into the kiss in no time, any tension flowing away as his arms went around her waist and hers around his neck.
The angry footsteps that had been approaching them, she noticed, suddenly stopped. She also could have sworn that she heard the man mumble an apology and quickly turn and walk away. No kidnapper would apologize for intruding on a make-out session. This wasn’t their guy.
So she'd just kissed this man for nothing. Oh, darn. What a misfortune this was for her.
Kanto’s lips were still moving against hers, and she couldn’t bring herself to pull away just yet. Her hands tangled in his mess of hair and one of his hands went up to cup her jaw. Her whole body was on fire, but she had to stop to breathe sometime, so she finally and reluctantly broke the kiss.
Woah.
“The- I- Toph- I mean, uh- you- Chief, you-”
“I kissed you? Yeah.” Toph said nonchalantly, as though what had just happened hadn’t felt to her the way he was speaking. “Issue?”
“None, uh. Uhm, none at all, Ch-Chief.”
“None? How so?”
“I-I mean,” he cleared his throat to recompose himself, and Toph had to fight every nerve in her face to keep from smiling. “I mean, I’ve always, uh, said that if anybody were to kiss me, I would want that person to be you.”
Now it was she who was trying to keep from stammering. She hadn’t expected this… this boldness from him. Nevertheless, Toph took a step forward, her face was inches away from his again. “That’s interesting.”
“Is it?”
“Mhm. I’ve thought the same about you for quite some time, Hotshot.”
His heart was beating so fast that she thought he might be having a heart attack. “You have?”
“I have.”
“What do you say we, uh, get out of here then, Chief?”
Toph smirked, enjoying where the night was going. “Lead the way, Hotshot.”

Send me a prompt from here or come up with one of your own, give me an ATLA ship, and I'll write you a thing!
Slowly he started to raise his hands and fall to the ground to protect himself from the deadly hail of bone and steel when another explosion erupted closer still.
A: Of the fanfic you’ve written, which is your favorite and why?
My favorite fanfic I have written will have to be "Anniversary". That would be because I feel that is the most unique work I have written. Because I honestly haven't seen any other story deal with the possibility of Aang losing his powers during a failed energy bending attempt.
H: How would you describe your writing style?
Hmm, that's a tricky one. I don't know if I have a particular style yet, I still change up how I write every chapter to find what works for me. But I guess I like to place just as much importance on information not being spoken as that which is said. I also tend to lean on being detail heavy, often with extra information or scenes leading up to what's important to give people more weight, as if they exist beyond the story I'm telling.
V: Are there certain comments you’ve received on your stories that have stuck with you?
Yes, but not on AO3 and not to me. Before I joined tumblr I was following a few blogs including hello-nichya-here. One of her followers sent her a submission recommending my one shot "Ill Spoken Words" and said very nice things about it. I liked it so much that I even saved a screenshot of it.
