I scored, ladies and gentlemen! (genderless)
I thought, might be nice to check the public book exchange and what do I find there? My old friends Lynley, Havers and Plum 😁
I immediately recognized Plum by the title because well let's just say there's a theme to how her books are well....named.
(I'm 100% sure she's way past Takedown Twenty at this point)
I got introduced to her when I was reading another series by the same author (the one that is like the tv show White Collar if it were flashy like James Bond ajskajskas) and accidentally confused one of her novels with the ones I was reading. And boy did I then read more Stephanie Plum stuff.
As for Lynley and Havers well, I really wasn't kidding when I said old friends. I grew up reading anything that wasn't on a tree fast enough and my mum read (and still reads) a lot of books like this. Occasionally shed leave one lying around and then I would read them too! And if I liked that (which I usually did) I'd read anything else my mum had that the same name was on. Patricia Cornwell, Martha Grimes, Donna Leon,Kathy Reichs, Tess Gerritsen, Nele Neuhaus, and of course Elizabeth George also. Plus probably half a dozen ones I can't name off of the top of my head right now.
