My earliest memories of hearing classical music are of " Madhurastkam " , and " Govind Damodhar Madhaveti" , krishna Bhajans by Pandit Jasraj ji....I remember my parents playing his cassette on the tape recorder early morning.... He had this quality to literally invoke Lord Krishna right there in front of you , I had the good fortune of hearing him in Delhi and he was so immersed in his performance that later he remarked that he could see lord Krishna all around him...and he just couldn't stop singing his praises... A great loss to music lovers ... For me a fragment of my childhood ....
