In a classic "Barbie [blank]" kind of post, where I look up Barbies around a theme, I thought I'd have a look for Barbies themed around, one way or another, walking.
I decided to go with ones that specifically refer to walking by name; not hiking or similar, as I've done that before.
Not surprisingly, one of the top featured themes among walking Barbies is pets. Barbie takes her pet dog for a walk in "Walk and Potty Pup", for example.
This is not the most infamous pooping dog that got recalled for being a hazard, but it is still a dog that poops. I find toys like this rather distasteful but they are so popular.
In "Walking Together Barbie & Tawny", I am so pleased to observe that there is no poop. There are, however, cardboard children riding the horse.
"Walking Beauty" features neither poop nor cardboard children, but I will admit is slightly off theme because it isn't Barbie walking. But it's a pet, and it has walking in the name, so I'm going to count it.
Besides pets, Barbie also walks with her "littlest sister", the short-lived youngest sister of the Roberts family, Krissy.
Krissy wasn't popular enough to warrant staying in the Barbie range, but Barbie takes her for a walk! And that's something.
But of course, we can't overlook the original, the OG, Walk Lively Barbie.
Walk Lively Barbie was a 1972 release that expanded the range of motion of Barbie and showed it off in a pink outfit that... well, I'll just stick with that it looks very 70s. I don't have anything else polite to add.
