Our fourth thanksgiving together… time flies!
Talk to the Troll | Kristan
San couldn’t tell if she was imagining it. But there was an urgency in her chest that made her feel like her mother was near. A fire was lit under her, but there weren’t any reports of a giant wolf roaming southern England.
The magic that drew San in may not have had the same effect on her mother. It had to have though. So, the determined wolf in her started a new hunt. Albeit, a related on.
She let her senses guide her to the person that could help. The only person outside of her small circle that knew what she was. Kristoff.
The girl rehearsed her speech for when the trail led to him. But when she finally came about him, she just word spewed before letting him acknowledge her presence. “Hi, Kristoff. So, I know that you are from where the rock trolls are from, because you said they raised you or something. In the elevator, remember? And you said they are magical like how I am from somewhere magical. So I was wondering if you could take me to them. Not to like invade their lands, but I need help. My mother, my wolf mother, has been missing... well, it’s a long story, but I was drawn here and hoped she was too. And then I remembered you said you were from somewhere magical so maybe she went there!” she took a deep breath, recharging her lungs, “Basically... I want to ask the trolls if they’ve seen her...”

The fact that she was in the middle of town surrounded by people who probably didn’t want her there gave her enough anxiety. And she had to get inside a small moving contraption on top of that? San just wanted a way to earn her keep. Sure, Merida wasn’t making her pay to live in the castle, but San needed money to do anything else.
The she wolf stepped into the metal box and nodded at her fellow citizen also entering. She didn’t press any buttons. In her defense, she didn’t know how these things worked. And to be perfectly frank, she was just going to ask anyone working there for a job. The floor didn’t matter. The lift lurched and she closed her eyes, somehow only feeling the floating sensation made it worse. Opening her soft brown eyes, San saw the lights flicker for a split second. And with her superior hearing, heard the faint laughter of a trickster ghost child. All of a sudden the box lurched once again and stopped moving altogether. Lights powered off.
“What’s happening?” she huffed in a panicked tone.
