Life Overtakes Me (2019)
A frustratingly shallow introduction to "Resignation Syndrome" in which some immigrant children in stressful and uncertain conditions withdraw into a coma-like state. Life Overtakes Me offers a compassionate description of the conditions through the experiences of three refugee families in Sweden but leaves so much unexplored and so many questions not only unanswered but unasked that I yearned for a more ambitious pursuit of the topic.
