That's right - the whole nerdy crew is back to cavort in the classics, savor the scholastic excitement, and relish in academic rigor! What could be more joyful than a reunion with our favorite Homeric devotees? Well, meeting them for the first time, of course! If you missed our debut, you are in for a treat.

And the man that she's riding is Charon - you may remember him as the Greek riverboat god who ferries souls across the river Acheron. Good natured, if a little confused, our Charon will get you safely to the other side.

We gather to ask questions about what makes us human, what is essential to our experience. Thank you for joining to revel with us in the best of ourselves, and to take a hard look at the worst, to consider and ponder how power corrupts, how we go awry, and how we can avoid the pitfalls of history.

This is the work of art - “to hold as ‘twere the mirror up to nature” - and we take that work very seriously. Sometimes it’s a joyful job, sometimes we take time to bask in the bravery of people, to wonder at our own whimsy and wisdom.

Sometimes the task is tougher, when we must reckon with the horrors of which humanity is capable. But it’s never something we have to look at alone - we gather in a circle to see ourselves reflected in each others’ eyes, fully awake and aware. Thank you for being part of our circle.

Our Lady of the Moon arrives at Western Hills Garden in Occidental, California on October 4 with an intimate opening ceremony.

This interactive installation honors release and renewal with evocative signage that guides the visitor to a towering ladder built of recycled California cedar.

The intimate opening ceremony event is limited to 30 people. Be among the few to experience the magical garden after hours, enjoy a personal communion with the Moon Goddess, and share conversation over dinner with fellow art and nature appreciators, as well as We Players' Artistic Director and creative team.

San Francisco International Arts Festival

We Got The Power is happening in San Francisco tomorrow - an event comprised of a host of outdoor, public artist performances centered around a participatory Flash Dance of the same name. It's also San Francisco's inauguration of The People vs. Project 2025

Our plucky Caretta Caretta travels north next month with 3 performances of The Keeper at Port Angeles Fine Arts Center, September 5-7.

Following public and critical acclaim for The Keeper - which premiered at the Alameda Point Naval Base in California in 2022 and traveled to California Shakespeare Theatre in 2023 - we’re thrilled to be partnering with the good people at the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center to bring our plucky tender of the light to the majestic Olympic Peninsula, west of Seattle. In 2020, during the height of the pandemic when we were looking for projects to do at a distance, we took a look at the important and unique objects that had featured in our work and shared stories about them in our History in Objects collection.

Hard to believe it's been five years since then! In our celebration of 25 years of award-winning, crowd-pleasing site-integrated theatre, we're adding new objects from the past handful of years to this collection.
