What about Great Danes?
I love great danes. I even wanted one when I was younger!
Grooming them is difficult simply because their size. They don’t fit in a standard tub, and getting them in it is impossible when you’re alone. That aside though, they’re pretty easy since it’s just a bath.
Daycare though they can either be awesome, or dangerous. Every female we’ve had is a sweetheart. They love to run and snuggle up to you, and while the males love to do the same, they’re always weirdly aggressive with other large male dogs; even if they’re neutered early.
We have about five or so that come into work, and all the males have to be watched with other large male dogs. If they decide to fight, because of their size, it’s incredibly hard to break them up. I do still love them a lot though, some of my favorite dogs are danes. ❤
Their owners are usually pretty good too. I mean, they have to be. You have to be well off and able to put a lot of money into your dog for both vet bills and food to want your dane to live past five. They’re prone to bloat and stomach twisting which can kill them, and we’ve had at least one be rushed into emergency surgery to fix the latter before.
