Alguém me tira uma dúvida??

Tava montando as coisas pra @myeogpromo​, e tem um negócio que não para de bugar e eu nem entendo o que tá acontecendo. Eu tenho problema quando faço um post naquele tumblr e ponho uma tag x ou y, nunca aparece depois quando eu vou na tal tag, e parece que não é coisa só daquela conta porque já mudei umas três vezes. Quem já passou por isso e conseguiu ou quem sabe o que é, por favor me chama no chat ou privado. Se até quiser chamar na ask de forma anônima também aceito.

obs.: Eu até achei que era aquela opção de “ocultar postagens/tumblr”, mas nem tá confirmada. :(

How to write a good roleplay character?

“I lost my muse! Oh no! I wish I had started out better!”

Roleplaying is fun! But a solid base is needed to write a character for an extended period of time. With characters that I have been portraying almost two years now, I think I have some tips and tricks.

    STEP 1. Don’t create the cover before you create the book. Of course, Tom hiddleston or Kim Jongin are lovely faces, but when you create a character first try to think what you want to write. What kind of character would fit you? Maybe your favorite faces in celeb-land all have that edgy fuck-off look. But you would rather play a shy nerd? Don’t let a face ruin your character’s inside. Pick a character before you pick a face. Except if a face inspires you of course. And sometimes you can get really lucky with a faceclaim you love that fits your concept very well.

STEP 2. AU, OC or CANON

When using a faceclaim you will have to decide whether you want to just use their face for your own character (OC = Original/Own Character). Whether you want to keep elements from their personality or background and just put them in a different world or timesetting. (AU = Alternate universe). Or if you want to keep everything like it is in the real world and roleplay them within that setting. As a roleplayer that used to pluck one picture of a manga guy from deviantart, I heavily prefer AU or OC. But maybe you do not? Nothing wrong with that! And there is no shame in creating OC’s either! Just make sure to put a disclaimer on your blog and to check if you join a directory, what they accept!

STEP 3. Create the character sketch.

When you draw a person you start with circles and you connect them with lines till you have an advanced stick figure. Character creation is the same, first the rough lines and you go from there. There are hundreds of character sheets out there, use them if you need them. Or start from scratch on your own. Gender? Race? Age? Where do they live? Family? Pets? Sexual orientation?  If you have those, you have a blank sheet. Avoid stereo types if you are not looking to make one. Someone’s sexual preference does not define them, If someone is gay that’s not the whole character. Only make a big deal out if it if you need to. (f.e. bullying, fear, relationships.) Give characters good points and bad points, everyone has them. No mary sues and gary stues.

STEP 4. Draw the lines.

Your character is still a blank sheet, he or she is now a body. You know what color their eyes are, but what do those eyes look at? Characters should be as diverse as people are. Some are scared of the dark and others are afraid of social interaction. Whatever you do research. Do not assume things too much. Always do your research, if someone is living in Paris, look at some maps and wonder what places they would visit, what people would they meet there? How would it shape them? Include it in your background. Make sure that the lines are not too tightly drawn, leave things open for development. Keep open endings there, it will give you space to develop and roleplay around.

STEP 5. Create the background.

How did someone become who they are now, make a chronological description for yourself. And please remember that your background doesn’t have to be dramatic to have an interesting character. If I see one more hunter with dead parents that were murdered by demons…

STEP 6. Look in the mirror.

Look at your character, now look at yourself. What similarities are there, are you aware of them? Can you deal with them? Roleplay is for many people cheap sessions to work through their personal troubles. Nothing wrong with that, but if something is too close for comfort it might be unwise to use it for a character. All my characters have daddy issues, guess who hates her dad as well?

STEP 7. Let someone else read your character.

And don’t be insulted when they give you critics. That is why you asked them to read it in the first place, right? Other people might tell you that your character is flat, which means you have to give them more depth. Or that they resemble a character from a show, book or movie too much. Don’t take their word for it! Ask others as well!

STEP 8. Let it sit there for a bit.

Creating a character and immediately starting roleplaying it is not the best idea. Make the character, save it and look at it after a few days. Does it still look appealing and good to you? Then this might be a good character for you to roleplay!

How to roleplay on more than one account.

"You change so quickly! How do you do it!?!"

In this guide I will explain you the easy way of having two, three or seventeen accounts open at the same time. Okay, maybe not seventeen. But a lot, and all you need is the web browser Chrome!

Step 1. - Download Chrome. Before the age of me knowing this whole thing I roleplayed on different accounts using the different internet browsers* Internet explorer (ew.), Firefox and Chrome.   Chrome is my all-time favorite. I had stepped away from Internet Explorer a long time ago when I started at my IT course. Anyhow, Chrome is user-friendly, fast and what we need. You can download Chrome [ here ] and it is available for Windows, Linux and OSX (apple). 

Step 2. - Open Chrome and click the icon.

In Chrome you can make use of different 'users'. As if you are sharing your computer with your whole family and everyone has different favorites and bookmarks. This is what we will use. The magical button is in the upper left corner

Step 3. - Create a new user.

Click the white head icon, a list of users will appear. Since you never made a user before it is, magically, only the "First user" Under that there should be a blue link allowing you to add a user. 

"New user" There now you know some Dutch.

This is what it will look like, but not in Dutch. It will say "Create new user" in English I imagine. 

Now click it.

Step 4. - Pick a name and an icon.

Wowzers! A screen appears! Stress! Not really, you will now be able to pick an icon and a name for the account. I like using witty names that describe my characters well. Literate and intelligent. That kind of stuff.

Click on make, and see the magic happening. 

Step 5. - Not making a Chrome account, 

or making one. It is your party mate. When you click on 'Make' a new screen will open, allowing you to link your new user account to a Chrome account. I never did this, but it would allow you to transfer all your favorites and bookmarks to another computer if you would log in there. Could be helpful when you have more than one PC or change computers!

Step 6. - Checking if it worked

If you made an account, and you checked the box "Make a shortcut" There will be a link to your new User account on your dashboard. 

As you can see, the hamburger with Jaejoong's name is there!

The account can also be found if you click that magical white doll face in the upper left corner again, giving you a list of all your accounts.

Step 7. - Enjoy!

You can now have as many accounts open as you want. You can log on to tumblr on a seperate account in every user account. So I can open Teawhore, Main Bitch AND Jaejoong has a cute butt at the same time and log on to My night elf, My Main account for Insolitus and a new Jaejoong roleplay account.
