Hey...

Let me show you what I have been working on (it's A LOT).

Every big project with me starts with scribbles on paper. I actually planned to do much more than what is already shown here in this video, like an absolute deranged person.

What am I, an animation studio? No, I am one guy, with a lot of passion for Arvale, but still, one guy. And if I want to get this done without it taking ages, I had to cut a lot of scenes.

But the paper scribbles remain... and there's a lot of them. When I made these scribbles, I did not make them with the intent of them being seen by others but me, so... they might be somewhat incomprehensible.

First, we got the scribbles of the scenes that actually made it into the video:

I said it in the video description already... but the fact that I made an extra mini paper animatic on an extra sheet of paper for the scene with Beylord, should have already been a warning sign to me that this scene would be a... tad bit too long?

And then we have all the stuff that didn't make it into the video! There's a lot of it...

Maybe I'll revisit them when I work on a different animated project for Arvale. Who knows...

Treasure of Memories gameplay!

That's right! There's now a full gameplay of Treasure of Memories...

By me!

I hope it'll be entertaining for you! I got to work a little on my editing skills, perhaps it'll amuse you. May my commentary be interesting and insightful as well.

The audio is a little messed up in the beginning videos, (my voice is too quiet) but I managed to fix it in later videos.

We'll be meeting both familiar and new faces in this adventure...

(This whole party is so chaotic looking, they almost all look like they are from different genres ahahah)

The Arvale: Treasure of Memories party is having a CALM discussion about the art of making tea. (Sarcasm)

A lot of my Arvale related posts take Arvale's lore pretty seriously, but the Arvale series was also known for it's humor, so I felt like I should reflect that as well =]

I think Duncan would know, especially being a gardener. It's probably just a sideeffect of the exposure to Dark Mithril. You cannot escape the corrupting force of the Cursed Artifact™️ ooohhoohoooo! (It messed with his head very badly).

You might notice that a lot of the charcters here look different to how they are portrayed in Arvale: Journey of Illusion and Arvale 2: Ocean of Time.

That's because in Treasure of Memories, they all got a redesign. Probably because that game was made in RPG Maker 12 years ago and Jaybot7 had to work with limited assets offered by the engine. Don't know for sure though.

Still, I gave some of them a few design quirks from the older games. Like Brodyn's earrings, nose piercings and eye scar (as well as the huge ears elves had in the previous Arvale games. Silk is half elf so she gets smaller ears.)

Or how ..."Chev" only has one eye, because while playing Arvale Short Tales it's revealed that he lost one and has an eyepatch =]

I even have my own theory how that happened but I'll talk about that another time.

EDIT:

Ever since I finished my recent playthrough of Treasure of Memories (which you can watch on my channel if you are curious) I've come to kind of... Regret making this video. Not because I'm not satisfied with the overall quality, but because it's not nearly as accurate as I initially thought.

When I post about Arvale, even jokes like this one, I want to stay true to the lore and not end up misscharacterizing the characters or get story elements wrong. But that's what happened here unfortunately. Examples:

1). Not once in the game were all playable characters hanging out at once and there's no indication/ it's unlikely that it could happen post TOM.

2). Noko and Bin would NOT exist peacefully in one room because Noko is a literal shapeshifting demon and Bin knows this.

So uh, yeah, this shitpost isn't entirely accurate. Whoopsie.
