So, seems like maybe Sangwoo’s mother was acting so unusual with the apples because maybe Sangwoo and her had planned to get rid of Sangwoo’s father on their trip and she was understandly all worked up about the thought of it.

Sangwoo went on and killed his dad, buried him in the woods… maybe his mum regretted it so bad/became hysteric that he had to kill her there too (and took her body back?) or they both went back home and she died/he killed her at a later time. I’m assuming that it was Sangwoo driving the car in the flashbacks since his mum appeared to be in the passenger seat and his dad in the back.

Also I wonder, since Bum is wearing Sangwoo’s mother’s coat, if Sangwoo is wearing his dad’s coat? I feel like that would make sense with how he panicked about the bit of blood getting on it… he does like/respect his father more than first believed after all. Also he made a fuss about Bum getting his mum’s coat dirty when he tripped.

Or I’m just wrong about everything. Hah! Sangwoo could’ve just killed his dad elsewhere (like at home) and brought him to the woods to be buried bc it’s a good spot/ it’s a special place to him.

Edit: looked into it and yeah seems like the parents were killed in their own home so there goes some of what I said.

KS 21: return of the vanishing facial features Nah but I did enjoy this chapter... but not as much as I usually do? I dunno. Felt too long in some places and too short in others. At least there were many-a cute Bum. I usually feel diff about the chaps after another read-through or two anyway
