ik im late, but i just finished killing stalking and im shookth. I absolutely despised sangwoo sooo much, but i really like how Koogi never rlly romanticized sangwoo and yoon bum’s relationship.

You get to see them through a third person point-of-view, and its clear in every scene they have that their relationship is absolutely not healthy. You get to see the how the trauma affects yoon bum, but doesn’t exactly turn him into an obsequious submissive person by the end which i was worried about. Even when sangwoo and yoon bum entered into a “relationship” (when sangwoo basically stopped beating yoon bum and let him go out and shit), you can see that yoon bum had enough courage in him to tell sangwoo how he would like to be treated (he says like he doesnt want sangwoo calling him names, etc). But even then, that never justifies what sangwoo did to yoon bum. Im so glad sangwoo died at the end i literally cheered when he got burned and then murdered by an old lady (karma), but now yoon bum is sooo fucked up cuz he will keep thinking abt the good times with sangwoo and let it eclipse the trauma he went through at sangwoo’s hands.

Re reading I've come to the conclusion that Sangwoo destroyed his car (the car he had inherited from his parents) and got a new one as a way or symbolism of his desire to forget his past... Now I think he then killed the uncle, not only because he wanted to be Bum's hero again, but also because he wanted Bum to get rid of his past too.

Sangwoo really wanted them both to forget their pasts and start a new life together, from zero, no more Eunseo, no more Bum's uncle, I even think no more killings since he didn't kill Bum's HS friend because he knew Bum wouldn't approve it, no more those nightmares from the past, just them two, together, cuz Sangwoo always thought of them as a unity (I can't say the same for Bum).

Now I can see that even if everything was doomed to fail, Sangwoo was really trying so hard for Bum. But it's even sadder that all his efforts where for someone who sold him out at the end (Bum).
