I am now convinced that the Killing Stalking translator is not an up-to-date Korean speaker as in Chapter 14, they made a translation that made 0 sense?

At the text messages at the end, there was one that said “He needs to gain weight lol // is he good at drinking too?” but that’s just... not right? That makes no sense context-wise because the person texting there doesn’t even know who Bum is?

The Korean read “쪄아염 ㅋㅋㅋ 근데; // 그 분도 술 잘 한대여?” with the word in question being the bolded, which is a cutesy way of writing “좋아요” which just means “fine” or “good” or “nice”!!! 

I mean, I get that it’s difficult to translate Korean text language, but that’s ridiculous! (Also they removed an emoticon heart from later on in the conversation in the English version and that’s just petty)

Further, in the Korean, we know the genders and relative ages of at least two of the speakers in the group chat, as the first speaker uses 오빠 meaning she is a younger woman and the third person uses 형 which means he’s a younger guy. He is also the one that used the heart, and I am very mad about this heart. 

Edit: Possible reasons for this translation have been brought to my attention, and I address them here and here.

I did manage to read ch14 real quick. A summary of my thoughts: fuck you Oh Sangwoo, Bum you're getting sicker every day and my heart hurts for you damn, Woo is more dependent on you than you are him now, PLEASE DO NOT be deluded by his "kind" behavior he's still dangerous as fuck, and gotdamn Bum please be careful if this party thing is legit. Try to maintain some presence of mind. Don't let him break down what little is left of you. You've shown you're smart Bum, come on and show us you're strong too.
