Chapter 26 Apprehensions

This chapter was unbelievably uncomfortable, disturbing, horrific, put any adjective on there, you got it. I want to commend Koogi's writing though, because I (as we all should) honestly have no clue how Sangwoo is going to react. Yeah, we can all hope they #hashtag-team-up-and-kill-his-uncle, but every time we have expected sympathy from Sangwoo is the very time he is devoid of it, and every time we expect harsh cruelty is exactly when he shows a glimmer of "humanity". Which leads me to my apprehensions...Sangwoo as a character is truly unexpected. For us to hope he reacts as a sound, empathetic human being would react is us grafting heroic and idealistic expectations onto an inherently inhumane character...very romantic expectations for a horror story. Point is, we definitely cannot soundly predict how Sangwoo reacts. Either way, this is a capstone in how the rest of the story turns out: It'll be very very telling to see how Koogi takes it.

Thoughts on the recent Koogi Q&A from Lezhin

Q: How did you come up with the title, “Killing Stalking?”

Koogi: Answering this question might be a spoiler, so I’ll have to talk about it some other time. 

Omg!! what if this means that KS will end with Sangwoo killing Bum because he is “Stalking”. My heart will break if that happens T_T Koogi said “it might be a spoiler” so it might not end like that, but still...dont know whether or not I should have my hopes up that this wont happen in the end :’(( one thing I know for sure is that I will hate Sangwoo forever if he kills Bum -.-* Bum doesnt deserve that :’(

I feel like anytime you try to discuss Sangwoo and Bums relationship or suggest that their is love or attraction between them there are a bunch of people who scream in unison that Sangwoo is abusive and that KS fans are stupid. Their relationship is waaayyyy to complex to just be interpreted as abusive. Sangwoo is abusive and everyone is aware of that, that doesnt mean his only motive is to abuse Bum and that there is no chance that attraction and love is possible. KS is fiction and you are not ruining real peoples lives or supporting real abusive relationships bcuz you interpret KS in your own way. Its up to every individual how they want to interpret KS and Sangwoo and Bums relationship. Shipping Bum with happiness and Sangwoo with jail would be the ideal and most healthy solution if KS wasnt fiction, but is it the only realistic and good ending for KS? Not necessarily, just bcuz Sangwoo goes to jail doesnt Bum will become mentally healthy and find love and happiness. And Sangwoo going to jail wont make his victims become alive again. Just bcuz Sangwoo ends his relationship with Bum doesnt mean Bum wont be abused by other people. Both of them are tragic individuals who have never experienced love or even have chance to ever find love. If there is love between them, then that might be the only love they will ever experience. Sangwoo and Bum are not "normal" mentally healthy people who experience emotions the same way other people do. They will never become like normal people and love each other in a normal and healthy way- that doesnt mean that emotions of love isnt possible. KS is not a black and white story where the good guys win and the bad guys lose, and it will never probably never be- thats why everyone can interpret it in their own way. KS is fiction and every interpretation is valid and okay. There is no reason to force other people to view KS the same way you do, because people will always have different views and opinions about KS since KS is a emotional rollercoaster. Trying to force other people to view or hate KS is abusive and mean in itself -.-
