I’m glad they’re keeping things lighthearted in this Knuckles the Echidna comic about someone getting kids addicted to LSD with some Rugrats echidnas

Folks... a lot of strange things have happened in the Archie Sonic comics up to this point. A crossover with Spawn and Savage Dragon. Robotnik being killed. Swollen Sonic. French Fry Tails. Knuckles becoming a Christ allegory. Whatever this was. The list goes on and on

And yet, this might just take the cake. Because they’re being slightly coy about what exactly happened. They’re sugarcoating it a bit for the kids. But it is now painfully obvious.

There was no setup for this in previous comics. No foreshadowing that this comic would go anywhere near this topic. We never even knew who Mello was. This is the start of an arc. It starts with a cartoon bee dying from a drug overdose. They aren’t CALLING it that because it’s a children’s comic, but like... Lemon Sundrop Dandelion poisoning? REALLY?
