In todays society there are a lot of girls that reach puberty and then start doing things to prove to themselves and others that they are a woman. A lot girls around the age of 9-14 they start to want to become more feminine because they start to realize who they are. Now that they are at the “that age” they start to have urges to do certain things like sex. Charles sister is an example of this. She was 18 years old and had a boyfriend that was mean to her but she still had sex with him. She then released that she was pregnant and had to go to the doctor to get a abortion because the baby was to far developed for anything else. She did not like getting the abortion because it hurt her, but there is many ways the pregnancy could have been prevented. She or her boyfriend could have worn a condom, she could have picked up some plan b at the store or she could have tried other methods. Instead she was to in the moment. This tells us that she is not a woman yet she is just trying to be. A woman has everything under control and plans her actions but Charles sister did not. Birth control is a big problem and it is caused by a bunch of teenagers that are not prepared for what they are doing, like charlie’s sister.
