Day 02: Favorite Location - Hanzo’s Fortress

I loved this place because it is my faved place in the movie. This place is used to be Kubo’s family home, due to being destroyed by the evil Moon King and the sisters. Years later, Kubo and his parents, who turned into Monkey and Beetle headed their own home for their quest of the armor, which the helmet would be found. And our family painting would be seen on the door as well.

DAY 2: Favourite location

I was going to draw the Beetle Clan Castle but I really like the mountain path Kubo takes to the village. Mostly because I associate it with that cute scene when Kubo pretends that Little Hanzo is walking through the tall grass. That scene always brings a smile to my face. It’s so innocent and childlike; a very welcome moment of peace before the tragedy that awaits Kubo later on in the film.

Day 2: Favorite Location

The quest continues as we look out for your favorite locations seen in the movie. There’s the bustling Sun Village, where Kubo tells his stories to the villagers; the Hall of Bones, where the largest skeleton resides to guard the Sword Unbreakable; and the graveyard, where the villagers speak with their deceased loved ones once a year during the Bon festival, among others. Day 2 of Kubo appreciation week! Favorite location Definitely the graveyard. From the festival to Kubo defeating his grandfather here, the whole ride in this place just slammed into me and made me absolutely love it. I LOVED the scene where he was praying and expecting his lamp to light up. And then the scene where we meet the sisters for the first time?! Goosebumps galore!!! (I even have that saved as my lock screen, the sisters facing down and across the river!!😍) And as well as that, this is where Kubo chose not to fight. He used his magic and acceptance of death, and just his love of the earth and what he's seen to defeat raiden!
