i know little of fish and what i'm reading up....the pet store supply folks should have been the ones answering questions on these things, not reddit. :/ sorry for your aquapal, but definitely keep this new knowledge in hand if you get another little buddy :( (hope not coming off negatively here. give me a holler if you need an ear bud. here for ya as always. <3)

i dont mean to shatter the illusion but petstore employees generally know Jack Shit about the fish. they change the water, the filters, feed them, remove the dead. these are the same people who will tell you a betta can live in a 1gallon unheated unfiltered glass bowl
