One night when i was failing to sleep i did visualize a story about a turnip boy who is trying to find something to laugh about after being told that hes too severe, goes around asking people to make him laugh and they try. However he can't laugh bc hes witnessing those people being unjust and awful. At the end he just decides that there's nothing else he can do but turn around and beat the shit out of those people one by one and help the ones they were hurting, and at the end theyre sitting together and one of the helped people cracks a joke about the events and we get like at least 3 pages of the turnip boys face close up cracking to smile. Corny cjildrens book but my violent little turnip boy makes me happy :)

I will prolly try to write this and make it a short illustrated booklet for myself.

Oh and his name is Nauris (turnip.) The title is Nauris, nauras nyt. Nauras my violent son you will see the sun.

I do sometimes see people talk about how amazing of a husband & father Gluskin would have been if he'd had a good childhood. But ngl I think there's a high possibility that his obsession with marriage/fatherhood & the sweetheart way he speaks stems FROM the abuse he experienced & his thoughts around it. IMO they're ways to seek power & control, status and thus safety & pleasure for himself.

There's a high possibility that had he had a nice childhood & was healthy, he would have had an entirely different focus in life. He might completely have focused on design & fashion, something completely else, he might have been way more community/friend focused (he does seem to have an interest in seeming impressive/pleasing others), we genuinely don't know

I think with Eddie it's important to remember that the whole core of the ideas that he idealizes (conservative traditional family) are unhealthy & unstable and honestly? It makes me mourn who he could have been even more.

It's almost like hes a residual haunting; he died before he could become a beautiful, unique person, instead being stuck on the hurt he experienced and trying to tackle it through controlling & hurting others.

I rarely brag but I have to fucking say im good at drawing Eddie. Like im not even saying my art of him is particularly good but I have a knack for capturing this air of loser weirdo freak whos dumber than a kettlebell while still being a master manipulator. I can dig into his soul and pull the doofus out

People trying so hard to explain to me why I can't put Gluskin on a leash and walk him around, not even in a petplay way but like actually keep him as an attack dog to intimidate people with. Im not listening tho fuck yall
