Chryed is sooooo good. I didn’t like a certain part of the ending but other than that it was really really good.
I'm definitely gonna check it out. I have to leave for work soon, but I'm off tomorrow, so I'm gonna start it.
I'll let y'all know what I think. :D
Would you rather lose your sense of taste or sight?
My sense of taste. I am an extremely picky eater and losing my sense of taste might just improve my life.
Also if I lost my sight I'd probably be covered in bruises, I already wake up with 3 new ones every day. (and most of them I have no memory of how I got them)
kurtsiegleek replied to your post “I can’t get over how much I love book three! I mean I enjoyed book...”
This gives me hope since I didn't really love book 1 and I'm on book 2 and am not really into it. Atla was really so great.
Oh dude I meant to reply to this but I saw it from my phone and then totally forgot!
So! I enjoyed book one from a sort of nostalgic point of view, you know? But it didn't have the same flair as ATLA. And I thought the equalist plot was interesting (and the ending was like holy shit!!) but I thought they could have wrapped up the political aspects better, like the civil unrest Amon tapped into doesn't just disappear because they have a non-bending president and I would have liked to have seen a better resolution to that tension. And the love triangle plot was painful, I was totally all for Mako and Korra until Mako made it very clear he is rubbish at relationships and needs a serious kick to the head.... (I really just want to sit down with Mako and give him relationship advice).
Book 2 was just over all kind of meh for me, and I felt like it didn't really tie together book one and two well at all (being used to the overall series long story that tied ATLA books together). The story of Wan the first Avatar is awesome though and really gave me the same feels as ATLA.
Book 3 deals directly with the fallout of book 2, so all ready we're a step up imo, and they've pulled back on the romance for Korra and showing us more of the developing friendship between her and Asami (and I'm just going to sit here in my Korrasami feels, I ship them so hard and I'm 99% sure it will never happen because it was hard enough to get the studio to accept a female protagonist without adding in btw gay), and we're seeing more and more of the supporting cast (Let me tell you of my love of Lin Beifong!! And Jinora!!) and I really think they've hit their stride with how they want to tell this story/what they want to tell (because I think this was originally meant to be a one book thing at first, but don't quote me on that) and I'm enjoying more for it's own merit now than I was rather than simply because of my love of ATLA. (Also also! Zuko!!! I'm really hoping we get to met his daughter at some point)
Wow that was more of a novel than I meant... tl:dr stick with it! IMO it gets pretty awesome!
Emiliz, 24, I love Glee and Kurt who is in Glee so hence my url. Watching t.v shows, reading, listening to music, walking my dog, cuddling with my cat.I follow you because we have similar interests and I like a lot of what you reblog and your commentary on things like Glee.I just finished avatar the last airbender and started legend or korra. Which do you like more; atla or lok and why?
I wanna meet my followers meme response
Hi Emiliz,
Thanks for following me =(^.^)=
But here's where I make a confession. I have never seen either ATLA or LOK. ^.^;
All I know about it is what I've seen on Tumblr. It seems like an interesting universe and both look like good shows. Alas I just haven't really sat down and watched them, yet. I do intend to but I'm easily distracted. Its on a list of to be watched. But I do like to reblog the scenes that look interesting because I'm weird like that. (also I am horrible at avoiding spoilers for anything)
kurtsiegleek replied to your post:I didn’t even realize Isaac had been missing from...
I know. I didn’t really miss him. :( I feel kind of bad for that.
I know! I saw him mentioned on a post and was like "oh yeah.... he wasn't there...." I may have been too distracted with trying to figure out if I like Malia or not.
I think my problem comes from the fact that right now most of her characterization is wrapped up in Stiles and I just don't ship it (hot as I found their whole making out in the hospital basement thing when it happened I'm not really feeling it and I may be blinded by my own Stiles/Lydia goggles). It's not that I don't like her because she's with Stiles, but that I don't like her with Stiles and that's all they've really shown me so I can't decide if I like the character or not. If that distinction makes sense.
Also a big thing in the way of shipping Stiles/Malia is that she and Kira had way too much chemistry during that dance scene and I'm totally shipping that.
uh... sorry for the tangent :P
Baking Glee: Klaine Cookies
It begins! I'm finally baking the prizes for the Cookie Giveaway and what better place to start than with the almighty Klaine?
For the sweet partnership that is Kurt and Blaine I've decided to make biscotti with chocolate chips and roasted almonds. And I managed to only eat about half-a-dozen on my own. Win!
Why those cookies? Thank you for asking. In this case, I wanted something that blended ingredients from both the Kurt and Blaine cookies, but with a difference. These are sweet, but not overpowering, a little nutty, and they go well with coffee shop AUs. I'd like to say that they go well with scarves, but I don't have the data to back that one up.
Want the recipe? Go HERE.
Baking Tips: If you want to make your own, I do recommend using a stand-up mixer for the eggs and sugar. They need to be whipped for a long-ass time and no one's biceps need that much exercise.
Leave yourself plenty of time for the baking stages and enjoy!
