Well this fucking sucks.

Apparently Digital River - the company that handled HeR Interactive's digital games sales closed. HeR no longer has access to those sale records and basically can't do anything about sales beyond 5 years ago.

So I'm shit out of luck. I had the bonus edition of all the games I'm missing - you get to collect phone charms in the game and you get an award for getting them all, you got the bonus edition with pre-orders.

So looks like my collection is no longer complete and I need 3 more games. I've got them on my steam wishlist so I'll wait and see if they go on sale.

I mean it's kind of my own fault for not realizing I had to save more than the download manager. Basically for games 28 onward when you download your game from the server you download an download manager exe, which then downloads the actual install files (previous digital games had downloaded a zip file). With the servers offline those download manager files no longer work. And I didn't save the install files. I can't remember if they warn you of that or not. If not they should.

Thankfully the download managers for MID and KEY still work. I'm going to make sure the install files are uploaded to my external where I keep the ND games. Starting to think I should go back to buying physical copies of stuff tbh.

Headcanons for how Gaz deals with nightmares...

I think Gaz has some hidden talent no one knows about. Maybe he draws. Or he plays bass guitar or something like a flute. Hell, even piano. I think there is some artistic inclination he has that he doesn't really announce.

If he's on base, I think he finds Soap. Especially if they both draw. Soap is really the only one outside of his sisters and mom who know about any of this. And they both have lots of hard times sleeping, so they naturally always just stay up together. It's a special thing they both hold dear.

If he's more musically inclined, he can really only indulge that when he's home. But he still seeks Soap out whenever he can. The Scot is good at morale boosting.

I think one time, Soap was indisposed, and so Gaz went to the common room alone. Only to find Ghost there. Gaz ended up rambling blindly and unintentionally, feeling bad because Ghost didn't say anything. But when he stopped, Ghost told him to keep going.

I think LT really likes to take care of his sergeants, and no one really knows that. Once again, it's a sacred routine that no one but Gaz and Ghost know about. And soon enough, Gaz gets comfortable enough to start indulging with Ghost more.

If you see Gaz calling Ghost on leave, no, you didn't. Ghost looks forward to it because it makes him feel like he's doing something right if his subordinates look up to him. And it gets him out of his own head.

Help, now I made myself sad thinking about Soap biting the dust and Gaz and Ghost seeking comfort in each other.

We need more Gaz and Ghost representation.

For some reason, I feel like Gaz hesitates to seek out Price??? Idk, that's what my brain is telling me right now. Not because he doesn't feel close with Price, I just think there's such a strong relationship there that Gaz doesn't want Price to see him as weak or whatever.

Does that make sense????

He also believes that Price might tell him to just suck it up. They all get nightmares. So he doesn't want to bother him. The man is always working in his office, and Gaz doesn't want to add to the stress load.

With Soap it's easy to seek him out. They're close in age, the Scot is open about struggles, sometimes tells them all too much detail. If Soap ever judged him for having a nightmare or whatever, then he must have really smacked his head.

Ghost is an accidental thing, and it turns out alright. Brings them closer together.

If Gaz had an opportunity like that with Price, I think he'd realize that the man can be a good advice giver.

Soap distracts him, Ghost is the listening ear, and Price could be the guidance if Gaz would just give in.
