"I build your temple, knowing I will never worship in it." Kusesu is a Demigod, denied ascension by higher beings due to his innate ability to animate precious metals - he became an architect to the higher creatures desires. Involuntarily holding his own following of loyal worshippers and servants he appears aloof, emotionless, untouched by any worldly ailment or sorrow - perfected. Yet, privately, hidden away in dark monuments and forlorn fields he fears death. More than anything he fears the loss of his mind and soul to the endless trickle of time. Every death removes a piece of it, fragments him more - makes him little more than a tool. His will to break out is unappreciated by the higher beings demanding his service - seeking ways to hasten the erosion of his resistance to their whims. He coats himself in gold, unable to face the reflection of his own mortal being for the dread it instills in him. His feral form is adorned by massive wings, likewise coated in gold - making him flightless through the sheer weight - he does not dare to take to the skies, imposing upon himself an earthly shackle. His blood is black like ichor, rumored to be a touch by the beings that command him, instilling cursed mortality to serve his purpose lifetime after lifetime. He can not bear to see it stain. He remembers figments of past lives, he recalls pain, sorrow and loss. But he also remembers love - echoing, reverberating, cyclical, persistent. So he follows the radiant voice of the one that could possibly set him free. And one day, without fail, he shall find her.
His story has just begun.
