I didn’t expect to enjoy the Moirin trilogy so much after finishing the masterpiece that was the Imriel trilogy, we’re so far removed from my favorite characters like Phedre and Sidonie. It’s wild to go from 6 books in a universe with magic but a largely magic-less main cast, to a druid exploring cultivation magic and summoning heavenly beings. It’s such a delightful change. I’m glad she’s still writing characters with flaws and I am devouring that delicious character development.
