Found a great dog sledding tour, Active Tromsø, that offered small rides on real terrain, lasting 3 hours and covering nearly 20km. Warm arctic clothing is provided and warm drinks around the fire await you on your return. The ride itself is invigorating and quite physical. Mishaps seemed to ensue in the very beginning, while adjusting to driving your sled, and towards the end, for some, due to exhaustion. It’s an amazing experience and the guide in the lead sled is patient and helpful along the way. Active Tromsø also offers extended dog sledding tours lasting two days to a full week, if you’re extra adventurous. Night tours are also available. I recommend Active Tromsø for your dog sledding adventure! The ride was authentic, long and one of the least expensive in town!
