Jordan kinda PMO this season.. especially the last two episodes.

The way they did nothing to reassure Marie while she was dealing with the trauma/emotions of:

1. Elmira

2. Seeing her sister again

3. Seeing her sister dead

4. Resuscitating her sister

5. Her sister being god awful to her, and thinking she deserved it

6. The reminder that she killed her parents

THEN on top of all of that, she gets told that she is more powerful than Homelander as the people around her immediately draw comparisons. “So Homelander and Marie are the same?!” & “Since Marie and Homelander are the same…” & “Cousin Homelander?”

Two of which came FROM Jordan after doing nothing but staring at her like she’s this scary ass person… as a black woman, getting compared to a racist white supremacist piece of shit in ANY WAY, was hurtful. No one cared about that. Her reactions weren’t taken seriously at all. Especially by her partner.

“I’m with you.” Was just NOT ENOUGH. They needed to do more. Stand up and say “She’s not Homelander.” Or literally ANYTHING. Anything would’ve been better than the looks they were giving her.

Meanwhile, every chance she got, Marie was reassuring Jordan. Taking the time to talk to them, tell them she loved them. After the one time they said it, they NEVER SAID IT BACK.

Like come on… Marie leaving without saying anything wasn’t a shock to me, and it shouldn’t have been a shock to anyone. Why wouldn’t she? She’s being bombarded with info, she’s scared, traumatized, and the stakes are higher now with her sister being there.

Yet NO ONE was trying to reassure her or show her they didn’t see her as the monster she’s always felt that she was…

Jordan’s role, as her partner, is to (at bare minimum) BE THERE. They weren’t.

So no, I don’t think it was justified to end things with Marie when they did jack shit to really be there for her during this.

And trust me, I love Jordan DOWN, okay?! Doesn’t mean they were correct on how they handled shit…

I have thoughts (shocker)

People love to say that Wille has no hobbies outside of being into Simme and dating him but like… that’s not true.

In the show we see that he plays video games and reads.

We’re also told he used to ride horses.

He’s great at chess, which, if you don’t know this, takes time and practice. Trust me, I was on the chess team at my middle school.

He enjoys partying and is known for it but is forced to chill out because of the fights. You may not think of that as a hobby but it can be.

That’s just a handful of things I observed from the show.

Did he shift focus to Simme? Yes. Because he’s in love with him. He wants to spend as much time as possible with him.

Idk a lot of y’all sound so chronically online and single cause… how many hobbies do you want this kid to have?!

I’m a grown woman and my only hobbies are watching TV shows and playing cozy games..

So. I have seen some posts saying that Simon basically only existed as a meaningless plot point and I have to say that I disagree with that observation wholeheartedly.

Simme was Wille’s connection outside of Nobility while in Hillerska, his connection to himself. Let me explain.

Wille wanted NOTHING MORE than to live a normal life. To not be followed around. Pawed at. Controlled.

Being sent to Hillerska was the complete opposite of that.

He’s angry, uncomfortable, anxious and would rather be anywhere else.

Then he sees Simon. There’s something about this kid that immediately draws his attention. Then the kid sings and it’s like he’s singing directly into Wille’s heart.

Then Wille’s first interaction with other students at Forest Ridge House is uncomfortable and fake, they change their opinions just to match his, and he’s immediately turned off from that.

Then we have Wille’s first non-interaction with Simme… in a class where he stands out he’s not afraid to speak his mind, even if he’s alone in his point of view. This intrigues Wille, even though Simme shows OBVIOUS distaste for the monarchy, Wille appreciates that he’s honest. Regardless of his title and him being right there.

At this point, Simme is the ONLY PERSON at Hillerska that’s been genuine in front of him. He sees that, and wants to connect with Simme. Goes as far as to sit with him, initiate the conversation AND compliment his way of thinking. Now again, this is the FIRST TIME they are actually speaking to each other, and Wille is telling him that he likes what he said. And it is SO MUCH DEEPER than just him liking it. He genuinely admires Simme’s courage.

This shows us that Wille is looking for authenticity, which is all that Simme is.

Through Simme, Wille sees what he could have. That it IS okay to just, be himself. Through LOVING Simme, Wille breaks through his anxieties and his ties to his obligations.

Knowing Simme, gave him comfort at a time where he thought he had no one. Loving Simme gave him the courage to fully be himself.

So, no. Simon Eriksson isn’t a ‘plot point’, he is the guide to Wille’s story, to his journey.

He is what prompted the change that made Wille better. Without Simme, Wille wouldn’t have had the growth he had.

Simme IS the story.

And if you disagree? Be respectful or keep that shit to yourself.

Cause what you mean your son DIED, as in FULLY DEAD, and you took that shit to the neck. Laughing and giggling just a few weeks after the fact but when your son comes out as queer you have an entire meltdown?!

And yea yea, sure, grief works differently for everyone. Let me just remind y'all that she didn't take any time off when Erik died, or even allowed Wille to stay home so that they could grieve as a family.

She abandoned Wille time and time again when he needed her the most... she makes me sick tbh

I saw a theory that masc!Jordan Li “absorbed” their twin (fem!Jordan) and that’s why one of the powers is switching and I don’t know if I’m reaching but… that’s just a really elaborate (and fucked up) way of erasing their identity.

And again, please correct me if I’m reaching but who is to say that Jordan wouldn’t be bi-gender without that power?!

To me, it’s almost like saying they’re only bi-gender because they can change into fem form and not simply because they are who they are. If that makes sense?

Simon TOLD him he did not want a relationship and instead of just listening to that he kept trying to be a fucking knight in shining armor.

Telling him that all that shit about how he didn't know love instead of just accepting the boundary Simme set.

Imma defend Simme til the day I die cause he communicated his needs and Marcus just ignored them every time.

It is EXTREMELY obvious when accounts have strong biases toward specific shows. Cause you’re gonna look me in my FACE, while having a whole VegasPete account, and being a whole Vegas apologist; and tell me that Love In The Air is “too toxic” and you “can’t do this”. 

And let me be CLEAR, you don’t HAVE to like a show or watch it if it’s not your cup of tea.. That is YOUR decision, it is YOUR life. But to say that it’s bc it’s too toxic? While you stan a whole problematic Stockholm Syndrome couple?

Y’all pick and choose when to show a sense of morality and that’s just... confusing. If it’s about Morals, you wouldn’t be seen engaging with VP in the slightest. Or KP as a whole for that matter, because that is one of the MOST morally gray shows I have EVER seen... but y’all can watch that just fine and romanticize the tropes presented... hmmmm
