i'm watching tlok and hearing Bumi and Kya saying that aang only focused on Tenzin made me wanna eat cement so i drew loving aang out of spite

I’m rewatching LoK for the idk 20th time and I just thought of something. I always had the image that Lin was basically Aang and Katara’s 4th adoptive child. As Tenzin said “Aang and Lin got along famously”. Each cloud kid went into roles that would in a sense make their father proud.

Bumi ll: General of United Forces for Republic City his father built with Fire Lord Zuko. Wanted to keep the world safe as his father had done.

Tenzin: Councilman of the Air Nation, last airbender, and continues with the politics to upkeep Republic City.

Kya ll: Master Healer and Nomad, following the nomad culture. Learning the North and South waterbending styles and visits Republic City whenever there’s deep trouble to assist.

Lin: Chief of Police because she wants to protect and uphold the city that her adoptive father left behind. Besides the kids, Republic City is also Aang’s legacy. Lin understood how important Republic City was to Aang. so she’s going to do anything and everything in her power to protect and serve.

They all just want to make Aang proud. 🥲
