Breathe Carolina
There's a lot of debates about whether or not Garageband is good for recording things demo and full length albums. In my personal opinion I think it's a good easy way to start out with. Breathe Carolina actually started off using Garageband. Lead vocalist David Schmitt actually started off recording songs using the free software and later recruited Kyle Evan. They actually released an ep entitled Gossip and a full length It’s Classy, Not Classic using garageband before signing to Rise Records. After that they blew up touring with bands like Brokencyde and Every Avenue, being on multiple Punk Goes Pop albums, performing on Warped Tour Multiple times and on talk shows like Jimmy Kimmel and The Daily Habit. Obviously they don’t use garageband to record with anymore, but that should prove that garageband is an effective tool for beginners. The band has made a lot of changes in the past couple years, with co founder Evan’s departure and their sound change, they still have that unique sound and energy that made them big in the first place.
