Chapter Four: Media

“And the award for the person doing this at the latest - or maybe earliest - point ever goes to...” Three in the morning and the youngest Jenner had long since passed exhaustion. Still determined to get this done before she forgot about it for another few weeks, she’d opted to do it now and was beginning to slowly regret that decision. “So, hey.” Her voice was riddled with sleep, and it was second nature now to be slowly stroking Normie as she sat before the camera. “The media, huh? Well, I have enough knowledge about it, I guess.” She offered a nervous laugh, the media was something that being a teenager today was practically impossible to escape from, especially as Kylie was also a famous teenager today. “I think the media definitely has a way of knowing it’s own truth..”
“Over the years, there’s been a lot of lies about my family, a lot of rumours made up, a lot of scandals that were never all too scandalous anyway, but I think that now, for me at least, it’s beginning to calm down.” Even though she was tired, she found herself able to discuss such a strong topic. “I’m personally not in the media so much, to the extent of my other siblings or even with what the content written about me is about. If I make news, it’s usually for another mediocre, bullshit reason more than anything else. Like, I changed my hair or my lips got a little bigger or whatever else they deem news-worthy enough to write an article about it. In terms of social media; I like it. I like Instagram and Twitter and Snapchat and Tumblr and all other methods of connecting with my fans. I like those things.” She could feel herself rambling a little bit, due to the exhaustion, she was just spewing bullshit like a fountain. “I like being in the public eye and hopefully inspiring someone with whatever it is that I’m doing. Do I like all the drama that comes with it? Of course not. Is it, however, something that I think is a price not too great to pay? For sure. I get to speak to people from all over the world, for a couple pictures taken of me and a few lies made up? At the end of the day, my family and friends know the truth, and that’s what is most important to me. For sure.”
Above anyone and everything else, Kylie rated her family. Family came first, no matter what. That was one thing that she had drilled into her from a young age, and probably the only thing. Her family liked to give her freedom, as much freedom as possible anyway given the whole fame-paparazzi thing, but they always wanted her to remember that fact. “I don’t really know what more to say now, and I really do think that I may pass out on camera which is something that neither of us want. This being said I’ll see you soon, hopefully not so late and a little more interesting.”
