Kylo’s warming up to Kapibarasan finally! He used to not care for him originally and would avoid sitting next to the plush, but now he actually climbs the castle stairs to sit next to him and groom. 🥲

Kylo’s getting more and more comfortable with us and it’s such a joy to make progress with him and actually be able to pet him more!

We’ve been doing a lot of sleeping in the living room and keeping the pen open 24/7, and he sleeps by the open pen door every night and anticipates treats and pets when I’m up and about. 🤭

Bunny update: This morning I noticed a bunch of eye boogers around Kylo's left eye (way more than I've usually seen) when I went to give the boys their vitamin treats. Lots of white, gunky discharge.

We wiped it away with a damp warm towel, but I checked on him a couple hours later and he was hiding while Kapi was out. I looked at his left eye and he had it open, but not as much as his other eye, and the fur around it looked wet/crusty. So, we called the vet and took him in.

Minor eye infection. They trimmed the fur around his left eye and flushed out the gunk in both eyes. He can open it normally now, but we got antibiotics (drops) for him, to be taken 2x a day. 🤞

He seems ok, but just probably hates me right now, per the usual post-traveling of any kind.

Aah, Kylo. My problem child. I've had Kapi for about 7 years now and have never had to take him in for a sick vet visit (knock on wood), but I've had Kylo for just almost a year and this is his 2nd time.

We love him, though.

Welcome home, Kylo Rex! 🐰🐰 Spent a few hours at the House Rabbit Society supervising the second playdate between Kapi and Kylo (formerly known as Quentin) today. It went well, so we moved forward with the adoption!
