❄ Merfolk ❄

(Spoliers for my fic)

Mythological shape shifters that can transform between human and aquatic forms. They are water-activated and transform when wet and human when dry.

Merfolk can appear different due to merfolk being a term for humanoid aquatic life that share the characteristic of shape-shifting.

The term 'merfolk' includes but is not limited to mermaids, sirens, cecaelia and selkies, which are the main categories of merfolk.

Mermaids – Whales, Dolphins, Porpoises Sirens – Sharks, fish Cephalopods – Octopus, Squid, Cuttlefish Selkies – Seals, sea lions, and walruses

Sirens are usually quite beautiful and colourful due to them being flamboyant for survival purposes, much like how birds use bright colours for intimidation, mimicking toxic species, and to attract mates. They also possess beautiful voices for the same reasons, it also helps them to communicate through vibrations in the water. Siren merfolk tails and scales change over time, often darkening or dulling with age or important life events (such as traumatic incidents). Scales are coloured depending on species and the individual's personality.

Cecalias and mermaids are usually bigger than sirens (sirens are about a human's size, the tail being a bit longer). Cecaelias are very good at camouflage and are quite agile, while mermaids tend to be more aggressive, having frequent infighting and fighting with other merfolk species.

Selkies are a species of merfolk that are most unlike the rest in the merfolk category. Selkies are seals who take on the form of humans by shedding an outer layer of fur, which they wear like a coat to transform. They behave rather relaxed, as they need to conserve more energy than any other species of merfolk to transform. They are very smart but 'lazy', as they do not sleep for long periods of time and instead take small 10-20 minute 'catnaps' like seals do.

So Isagi had a thing for thighs; this was a well-known thing, at least it was in Bachira’s mind. Rin either didn’t care or didn’t notice, but Bachira noticed; he always noticed things like this, after all.

The way Isagi's hands would linger on his legs when they were cuddling or when Bachira jumped into his arms, it was the same for Rin. Bachira lay in Isagi’s bed watching a movie on his laptop. Some cartoony show that he was using as white noise until he fell asleep, but he couldn't. His boyfriend was behind him, one hand touching his legs, his thighs and the sides of his hips and the fat above them (love handles is what Bachira thinks they were called, although he isn't so sure of the more scientific word) through his yellow sweatpants; his face was buried in the side of Bachira's neck, his other hand tangled in Bachira's hair, pulling hand to get better access to his nape. Bachira was letting him, of course, because why wouldn’t he? Isagi was enjoying himself, and who was Bachira to deny him (Bachira was totally loving the attention)?

“You having fun, Yocchan?” He squirms lightly, kicking his legs (not that he was actually trying to get away) that were still tangled up in Isagi’s.

Isagi holds him down into the soft sheets, rendering him immobile, pushing his head into the pillow and licking a strip up the back of his neck, biting into him, right under his hairline on the back of his neck.

“Mm’ sorry." Isagi mumbled, moving his hands to Bachira's ass, squeezing and raising his hips until Bachira was propped up on his knees but still lying face down in his pillow.

Isagi starts to pull Bachira’s sweatpants down. “Is everything you wear yellow?” He says as he spots Bachira’s underwear, faded and pale yellow, more white than anything else.

Bachira shakes his head, he melts, mumbling something which turns into a soft, muffled whine as Isagi pushes his thumb into Bachira’s heat through his underwear.

Isagi cups Bachira, moving his thumb back and forth. Bachira whines, moving his hips back to chase the friction. “Can we do it?” Isagi whispers almost shyly as if Bachira isn’t trying to grind back on his hand (as if Bachira wouldn’t give Isagi the world if he asked).

“Anything ya want, Yoichi.”

Isagi pulls Bachira's underwear off the leg hole, catching on Bachira's thick socks (that he had started wearing when Rin complained that his feet were cold).

Bachira heard the rustling of Isagi taking his pants down just enough. Isagi had never really liked getting completely undressed; Bachira couldn’t really understand that as he took every and any opportunity to get naked. He wiggled out of his shirt, leaving him only his socks and the bracelets on his wrists.

“You’re so pretty." Isagi kisses up his back, burying his face into Bachira's neck; the fabric of his sweater rubbed against Bachira's soft skin. Isagi uses one hand to push his blunt head against Bachira's warmth, making Bachira moan and Isagi bite into Bachira’s shoulder. Once the tip was in, Isagi clutched Bachira’s middle, rolling his hips forward until he bottomed out; it was a slow, methodical method, so different to how Rin did it. 

Isagi found a rhythm, pushing inside slowly but firmly, then pulling out almost all the way, leaving Bachira gasping. Isagi found Bachira’s mouth carefully pecking him until Bachira opened his mouth slightly, prompting Isagi to give him more tongue, drinking up all the little noises Bachira made.

Keys jiggled outside, presumably from a neighbour, while Bachira paid it no mind. Isagi quieted down just a touch, too engrossed in what he was doing to actually care about disturbing the peace.

The door creaked open, and Isagi sat straight up. Bachira sat up as well, not bothering to stop moving back onto Isagi, riding him at a weird angle, but it still hit all the right places, so who was he to complain? The door closed again, the lock clicking in place.

“I just came to- are you two fucking?” Rin said, a slight pout in his voice.

Bachira nods, dropping his head back against Isagi's shoulder, his hands on the bedsheets to support him as he moves up and down on Isagi’s length. “Ah-yah"

Isagi keeps him stable with his hands on Bachira's thighs. “Get up here."

Rin takes Bachira's laptop off the bed, setting it onto the desk before sitting on the bed, leaning forward to kiss Isagi, who immediately kisses back. “I haven’t seen you all day."

“We didn’t have condoms on hand, and Bachira’s on birth control; it would’ve been fine." 

Rin rolls his eyes at Isagi before pushing himself inside, making Bachira gasp around Isagi's dick, still in his mouth, keeping him quiet. Rin is rough with him, but he knows Bachira can handle it. Bachira closes his eyes. It's warm all around him.
