You know what? When Kyoko said she could break into Kyosuke's house and break all his bones... she might’ve been trying to make a point as go why Sayaka's wish to heal his paralyzed arm was a bad decision. Because realistically, there's nothing saying that another "accident" won't come along and break it or paralyze it or cause it to be straight up amputated from happening again, making the wish she traded her SOUL and practically EVERYTHING for pointless. She was trying to prove why it's better to use your magic to help yourself rather than others, and this was part of that point. Maybe? Idk it was just a thought.

As a boyfriend, Kyousuke was initially apparently very cold and distant: he didn't flirt with you and talk about his feelings at all, so much so you had been the first to confess your love and initiate the first kiss

After becoming truly attached, Kyousuke has become very protective, albeit in very subtle ways (for example with a dirty look at a person who stares at you too much), and extremely loyal. In private, he's also a surprisingly sweet guy in small gestures, even if he doesn't show it openly

Before leaving Fifth Sector, Kyousuke absolutely didn't want you to watch his games to avoid you seeing him play violently or realizing he was losing on purpose, so your dates were mainly indoors (also because that way he avoided anyone recognizing him), such as movie nights or readings together; after, though, he began to open up to more "public" dates as well, such as walks

I think Kyousuke's first love language is acts of service: his ideal way to show love is through gestures, like protection or sacrifice, or even doing anything to make your life easier. His way of saying "I love you" is, in fact, "I'll take care of it"

Precisely because he isn't good with words, Kyousuke doesn't use nicknames with you at all, nor suffixes: before you two got engaged, he limited himself to calling you by your surname; then, after you had used his name, he started too

I've learned a lot of really fascinating things about my own writing in the process of the years (God help me) it's taken to write INJ, both what I'm capable of and good at, and what my audience loves most, and how those do and don't overlap. I've got a whole audience that never in a million years would I have imagined I'd capture, and I'm very grateful.

But there's absolutely nothing that's surprised me that is or ever will be funnier than the fact that by all accounts my audience is largely lesbians, NB people, and Trans/genderqueer women - and that in my toxic Yuri/bisexual polyamarous queen romance, with a largely queer audience, the UNANIMOUS fan-favorite of all the supporting cast; from both comments and DMs I get, is a heterosexual middle-aged business owner guy with a John Waters moustache who lost the kids in the divorce and kinda looks like a Japanese Steve Buscemi
