Unpopular Cosplay Opinion

I don't mind when people add a genre to a cosplay (like Punk!Karkat or Classy!Ash Katchum) and I don't mind when people do genderbends of characters.

But when you do both, it comes off like you just put on a silly hat and called it a cosplay. Please, just add one twist to your cosplay. Not 2 or 4 or 20. It's good to love your show, but when it comes to cosplay, you at least want people to know who you are without asking.

So to all the new friends/followers I made from Katsucon, let me introduce myself. I'm CD! I'm still sort of new to cosplaying, but I do want to do awesome work in the future. With that said, it was a real blast meeting all of you guys again! I met a lot of cool people, did a lot of photos (which i'm still getting over how surreal this is), and partook in a livestream to CrunchyRoll where i earned the nickname "Kyubro". Thanks for all the love you guys were giving out, it was rad as hell! now to figure out which cosplay I want to do next, and more importantly, which con.
