Analysis
Legendary Lyn debuted as our first non-colorless bow unit nearly a year ago and her exclusivity as a legendary hero alone makes her quite a luxury. However, L!Lyn has aged quite poorly with decent-at-best base stats, and as one of our few sources of the skill Spd Tactic, many players will likely discard her to inherit said skill. Many dismiss her as a unit due to her conflicting player phase-oriented offenses and enemy phase base kit. However, with proper care and investment, L!Lyn can be made an excellent duelist.
With a mediocre 31 Atk and fairly high 36 Spd, L!Lyn undoubtedly faces fierce competition as a bow unit. L!Lyn lacks the firepower that many other archers have in addition to excellent Spd and mobility when compared against flier and cavalry bow units. Her unique color does somewhat help her stand out among the crowd, but even so, the weapon triangle can hinder L!Lyn’s capability in combat as much as it can help her.
L!Lyn’s base kit can also be quite awkward as her Atk, Spd, and B Skill, Desperation, would seem to encourage a player phase playstyle, but her unique weapon and A Skill, Swift Mulagir and Laws of Sacae, favor the enemy phase. That being said, with two uninheritable skills and decent stats, L!Lyn is far from being dead weight and should not be dismissed simply because of the competition she faces.
L!Lyn prefers boons/assets in Spd, Atk, and Res. Her preferred banes/flaws are Def and HP.

Build Suggestions
Budget/Low Investment:
With Lyn’s base kit encouraging her to stay close to her allies, Atk/Spd Bond works well with stacking her Atk and Spd, gaining +14 to each stat with all of her skills in effect. This makes it very difficult for enemies to double her, and with Laws of Sacae in effect Lyn has 61 physical bulk and 70 magical bulk. She will likely fall into Desperation range after being attacked, allowing her in player phase to then make quick work of another enemy or finish off her initial aggressor.
Draconic Aura is used to scale off of Lyn’s exceptional 59 Atk in enemy phase, but can be swapped out for skills like Iceberg or Moonbow.
Lyn’s other Sacred Seal options include Brazen Atk/Def, Brazen Atk/Res, Deflect Magic/Missile, Quick Riposte and buff skills.
Anti-Ranged Enemy Phase:
These two builds take advantage of Lyn’s enemy phase-oriented skills to reliably duel ranged enemies.
The build on the left focuses on mixed bulk for the ability to tank both physical and magical ranged damage. With Swift Mulagir, Laws of Sacae, and Distant Def all active, Lyn’s statline becomes a formidable 54/45/34/40 unbuffed, a statline that even top-tier mages may struggle to punch through. Using Dull Ranged on top of this allows Lyn to deny enemy buffs, most notably shutting down blade tome mages whose damage output relies heavily on visible buffs.
The build on the right focuses on Lyn as a mage killer by utilizing a Res boon. This can also allow her to reliably make use of Ploy skills to support her allies if not herself.
Player Phase:
This build commits to the player phase to make use of Lyn’s range and decent offenses.
The main change made from Lyn’s base kit is replacing Laws of Sacae with Fury, as the former does nothing to improve Lyn’s player phase performance. Since Swift Mulagir already encourages Lyn to gather with her allies, Atk/Spd Bond provides the most offensive stats for this playstyle with Fury increasing her raw stats. With this build, Lyn reaches 58 Atk and 52 Spd in player phase which is certainly nothing to scoff at. The main caveat to the following build is that Swift Mulagir and Atk/Spd Bond restrict Lyn’s positioning options if she wants to receive their bonuses in combat. Positioning will be crucial to ensure Lyn can compete against her opponents.
