Jongin+Aegyo
(Part of the Learn the Alphabet with EXO! Game)
‘No.’
‘Come on! Please!’
‘No!’ you repeated.
Jongin pouted and rolled to the side. He had been trying for the last ten minutes to get you to go out for food with him. Unsuccessfully.
On a phone call with you earlier in the week, Jongin had dared to hang up on you without telling you he loved you. Two days later, you were still being petty about it.
You had been lying on the bed with your laptop, trying to just watch something to pass the time.
Jongin had burst in unceremoniously, plopping on top of your outstretched legs and peeking over the edge of your screen.
You didn’t acknowledge him, and it drove him crazy.
He leaned over and closed your computer with his chest, planting an extra affectionate kiss on your cheek.
You glared at him wordlessly.
Jongin smiled in spite, and presented his case for eating food together.
You ignored him and made to go back to watching movies.
He coughed loudly and peeled the device out of your grasp. His boldness was audacious and took you by surprise.
At first, he tried shaking your shoulders, trying to pull you off the bed.
You became an anchor, clinging to the headboard.
Jongin sighed and flopped back down with a groan.
‘Why are you being difficult? You have to eat too, we might as well eat together,’ he said. ‘You know, like couples do.’
You turned your gaze to him sharply.
‘Are we even that anymore?’ you said. ‘You know, since you don’t love me anymore.’
Jongin looked shocked, for just a moment, until he realized what you were upset about.
‘Really? Still?’ He climbed into your lap again, grinning cutely.
Jongin leaned in, his face close to yours.
‘Y/N,’ he said, pausing. He kissed the corner of your mouth. Bold. ‘I love you. You know that. Now please.’ Jongin plied you with another kiss. ‘Please come have dinner with me.’
You inhaled sharply.
‘No.’
His jaw dropped and he looked around cluelessly.
‘Come on! I said that I loved you, and I’m sorry I forgot to tell you before!’ Jongin whined pitifully.
‘I know, and I forgive you,’ you said calmly. ‘But you know there’s only one way to make it up to me.’ Your voice was cold and practiced.
‘No!’ Jongin looked like you had slapped him. ‘You can’t mean -’
‘I do.’
‘Why? You always want me to be more grownup about things, this is going in the opposite direction!’ he protested.
‘Start. Singing.’ You poked him in the chest to punctuate each word.
Jongin sighed in resignation and got to his feet. He took a deep breath of annoyance, and started to sing the confession song.
You cracked your stern expression with a smile of delight as Jongin did the actions and sang cutely.
He finished the last line with an extra-cute emphasis, and you could see him die a little inside. It was perfect. At last having completed his reparations, Jongin fell over and hid his face, whining quietly, ‘I can’t believe you’re like this, I can’t believe you’re like this…’
You slipped off the bed and knelt beside him, kissing his cheeks, now red with blushing.
‘Come on, let’s go. I’m hungry.’ You got up to start to get ready.
‘I’m too sick to eat now. I think I have aegyo poisoning.’ Still on the floor, Jongin groaned pitifully.
You slipped into jeans and nudged him with your toe.
‘You’ll be fine, let’s go.’
