i am assuming maybe you are talking about a bujo? :) bujos are usually a bit more complicated than a planner because you can add a lot more things in them (more than just a list of tasks to do)! It’s basically a more versatile version of a planner, imo ;)

i actually don’t have a bujo right now but im planning on starting one when i enter dental school next semester ╹◡╹
