Let's Get Free - Fight for 15 March in Skid Row Protest with Pastor Cue, Arthur McThune, Pete White, General Dogon and LA CAN. Fight for 15 March: April 14, 2016. Thousands of union members marched in Downtown Los Angeles in support of fair wages and a nationwide McDonald's fastfood workers' strike. Organized by SEIU, Fastfood Workers, and other unions, the march stopped in Skid Row at the Central Division LAPD station where Pastor Cue (Church on The Row) and LA CAN planned a protest to address community issues in Skid Row. After the protest, there was another incident, and another protest (7:30) as LAPD confront LA CAN members.
Thank you to LA CAN and Pastor Cue. More info at cangress.org.

If homeless advocates were looking for a fight, then by all accounts they found it. The CCA may very well be LA’s true seat of power.
In 2010, it was reported by Los Angeles Downtown News that the CCA had a budget of $2.3 million and $1.8 million in reserves. That same year, CCA gave money to every sitting city council member, according to journalist Hillel Aron.
