McLaren App - Test 1
This was a brief experiment while using the McLaren app, it is about 10-12 seconds of footage trying to get he timing right while also playing around with different types of shapes.
I found using this app the be quite difficult because rather than the music playing while you’re working, you sort of have to create a fair few frames and then play it so you can hear what part of the song is playing. So it is a struggle trying to get the timing down when you’re not exactly sure what part is going to be playing, its is a very time consuming process.
Although I have very little footage of this experiment I am very pleased with its outcome. I feel I have done well with the timing regardless of how difficult and time consuming it was, and with it being my first time using the app I found it quite easy to use once the sound issue was figured out.
My only issue with this experiment is the length of the footage however I do plan to add more. The awkwardness of the app was a struggle however it is easily fixed. I also feel that the timing at the end of the scene is a bit off, this is something I will fix if and when I try this experiment again.
All in all I enjoyed this experiment, it allowed you to get an understanding of working with sound and making sure your animation flows with the music/backing track.
