Disney did remakes of LA movies that they made in the 60s back in the 90s and early 00s, but at least they actually tried to make them different enough and were still respectful to the original themes and concept while adding new ones or expanding upon them.

#disney #la remakes #txt #aside from 101 dalmatians all of the movies they remade were live-action movies #mostly movies almost no one had heard of #it wasn't of the fucking animated classics which everyone is deeply attached to #and they still made them different enough but still building from the same concept #which is what a remake SHOULD be. i actually like to call those retellings #even 101 dalmatians was actually very different from the 1961 version #it was set in the 90s and a lot of shit was changed but it was the same concept #it was a retelling #at least they made an actual back then instead of just making the same shit but lamer #or changing shit drastically because “it doesn't appeal to modern sensitivities” while still borrowing 101 from the classic material #i swear if disney dares to remake brother bear.......
