Petite soirée devant les Victoires de la musique classique, à l'auditorium de Lyon. Un programme donc tout doux, un peu moins bouleversant que hier soir. Depuis le temps que je veux aller voir l’Orchestre National de Lyon, je suis tellement contente.

Mugshot Monday - “La Vache; La Bulle” coffee mug by Taylor & Ng  with Ethiopia Sidamo light roast by Snake River Roasting Company

During a recent Pearson Family Reunion, we stopped at the Lucky Dog Thrift Store in Driggs, Idaho. It’s a curiously small building with many rooms all jam packed with collectibles or stocked with well organized practical items.

I found the coffee mugs and picked up this “La Vache” mug. That’s French for “The Cow” -- I figured that out because there’s a super rad drawing of a cow under the label.

On the other side there is a drawing of a bull and it says, “La Bulle”.

So I’m no Frenchman, but I wasn’t sure if that was the right label for “The Bull”. Luckily I can google translate just like everyone and I was alarmed to find that this mug translates as:

“The Cow; The Bubble” 🤔

What? I texted my friend Ludivine (who is from France) and she confirmed that “The Bull” would be “Le Taureau” in French.

That’s hilarious! I love this mug even more!

This mug is made by Taylor & Ng and you can actually buy one on their website. However, there is no reference to “The Bubble”! Maybe they’re just trolling us? I hope so. 😂

When I bought this mug at the Lucky Dog Thrift Store, I learned they just opened last year and all proceeds benefit homeless animals in the Teton Valley. It’s a delightful store, so if you’re ever in Driggs stop in and pay them a visit!
