Laysan Albatross (Phoebastria immutabilis) couple, engaging in allopreening (mutual grooming of each other) & bill touching, as part of their courtship/nesting rituals, which strengthen their pair bond prior to their breeding attempt, after many long months apart at sea. Midway Atoll, Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument, Northwestern Hawaiian Islands.

Sometimes gentle & tender, yet other times more of a lover's spat, their interaction reads like an old married couple.

Welcome to Part 2 of My Decisions, My Reasons: a Mara Jade memoir

Chapter 1 is up! Lightsabers Are Always Loaded - Chapter 1 This part of Mara’s story was harder to write than Darkness Kicks Back as there were more elements of canon that needed to be woven together to address this stage in Mara’s life and less overall direction from existing works. This is, of course, part of the point of this project. Mara often showed up in canon when it was considered useful for the story with only vague explanations of how she had been spending her time. This is an attempt to expand upon those vague descriptions and explore her motivations over the years.

Here, Mara talks about her experiences building the Smugglers’ Alliance as well as her early dabbling in Jedi training as she tries to figure out who she is in the galaxy now that she is free of Palpatine’s command.

This section covers the time period between the end of The Last Command and the defeat of Exar Kun just under halfway through Champions of the Force and I, Jedi.

Honestly nothing important but my friend started watching tangled and here’s some stuff about that

My friend started tts and (of course) I watch it with him (not in person but we watch it at the same time)  to see (hear) his reactions and he is just loving it. At first he hated every character except for Cass but now he likes almost everyone. And he is always singing the songs he already knows. And a few days ago he sent me a screenshot with the YouTube Video of Nothing left to lose and asked “Can I watch that?” and i was like: nnOooooOOO SPooiiLLerr!!! Yeah he can’t wait for season 3 (We’re at the islands episodes in S2). I’m just glad one of my friends finally started the show (the other one stopped at season 2 -_-). Yeah thanks for coming to my ted talk that no one asked for lol.

Lady had a stack of old newspapers that she was bringing to Fairy Godmother down on the first floor because she had some sort of collage type thing she wanted to do for some fundraiser or another. (The woman talked so fast that sometimes even Lady, belle of the South, couldn’t understand her motormouth.)

Nevertheless! She was happy to help. Which meant carrying a stack of newspapers so tall she could barely see over them, calling for an elevator ride.

The doors dinged open and Lady only took a few steps outside of it, rounding the corner to head down the hall when--

SLAM!

Papers everywhere!
