a blog full of love
hiya friends of all types, it seems that i wonder quite a lot on the internet as i try to find a nice place to settle for blogging. this is my third attempted at settling with tumblr as a place to post words that mean something, i hope that this is it. but given the state of how the internet works and how my mind continues to be indecisive, i wouldn't hold out too much hope. i like posting pictures (via my instagram), because they tell a lot more, and are far more better at telling stories, than I am at writing them. but i like to write, maybe not term papers, but in all honesty, i do like to write at my own leisure. so here i am writing, to whom ever is reading. i guess you're the fortunate one to have kept with me this far and i am eternally grateful. to not bore you further with explanation, i'll mosey along and do a bit of changing topics.
i must digress that i am in a bit of a #laatfig state of mind. all part of my awareness of the fact that i am a fifth year undergrad student, with a stubborn attitude towards what i want to be educated in. of course i was the bright young freshman who naively made the decision to be a renaissance man and come to a private jesuit liberal arts university, a place where i'd spend the next 4 years learning about theology and philosophical ideals, that seem to only push me further away from the theistic understand of God and more towards the spirituality of my heritage as a native american. i guess in that sense i am grateful. but at the same time, i am aware of how much time i have lost given the career i want for myself. so i'm living with that knowledge and i am not very happy about it. of course i am sucking it up and finding meaning and reasons within the choice i've made coming here and trying to appreciate it all. what i love most about coming to Creighton is the endless friendships i have made. they are beautiful and i could not ask for anything more. that said, i am going to quit my bitching and end this rant with this: i am humbled by the opportunities given to me thus far on my journey of enlightenment and will always appreciate those that have given me the chance. thank you.
so, as i sit waiting to attend my last class of the day, i'm left with the urge to seek out camaraderie and partake in merriment, but at last it seems i cannot find a soul. due it part, by my lazy urge to move from the spot i have planted myself in. all well, i think that is enough self-indulgence for one post. until that urge to post again meets me, i say take care on this holiday week and stuff yourself full in the ignorance of pilgrims and indians sitting together and feasting for peace and unity, amen. quickly followed by our consumeristic modernity; buy away you black friday & cyber monday shoppers! i won't excuse myself from the group.
