My piece of purple labdorite arrived last evening, just in time for my birthday today! Very happy with the colors. It looks like such a boring, greenish stone until you get it in just the right light, and then--wow!

Labdorite! It’s a feldspar and when you move it, you can see a myriad of colors reflected in the light! They’re so rich and deep.

Labradorite is the plagioclase gemstone with a spectacular iridescent play-of-color known as labradorescence.
