Monster Stats & Propaganda Under the Cut:
This thread about made-up/misunderstood card effects is fun. Some of them would be really neat!

“I thought you can use Scrap-Iron Scarecrow infinite times.”
“He had a card that he called King of the thousand hands, which was Senju of the thousand hands, and a more female looking one that he called Queen of the thousand hands, i believe that this was also senju, just with a different artwork. My brother told me that if king and queen are on the field they create the "kingdom of the thousand hands" which had 0 atk and 10000 def“
“I thought you had to draw a maze when you played labyrinth wall, and play it out like the anime.“
“My brother and i believed that La Jinn had a effect to make 3 wishes, because of the legends. We take out "win the game" wish because it was unfair, so, the wishes were around buying cards, destroying cards or making special summons.“

Do you have a handful of the hypmic songs (I don't have a favorite group, but it would be nice to have one of each at least) that you recommend?? I'd love if fellow fans list their favorites too! Sorry to bother you, if this is annoying, feel free to delete. 🙇🙇

Labyrinth Wall ———————————————— 'These walls form a labyrinth with no exit for enemies.' ———————————————— Can Be Found In: Dark Beginning 1 (DB1-EN035), Spell Ruler (SRL-EN055), Legendary Collection 4: Joey's World Mega Pack (LCJW-EN220)
In a game often encouraing an offensive approach, is rare to confront defensive setups and strategies. While stalling the opponent can easily crumble by one of various effects or attacks, under proper management can give us valuable turns to either gather resources or achieve a slow but safe winning condition. While usually this gamestyle is achieved by effects making a halt on opponent's actions, one of few monsters with high DEF might be more than enough to stop Battle Phases for a few turns.
"Labyrinth Wall" is a particular card in several aspects. Is mostly known by the original series by creating an unorthodox Duel interacting with this monster as a field, while in the card game is one of the Normal Monsters with the highest DEF out there. Despite its complete lack of ATK, "Labyrinth Wall" easily matches the ATK of many monsters in the game to make them stop from attacking us. However, while its original purpose is to be Tribute Summoned and stall the opponent for some turns, "Labyrinth Wall" can go from a flexible monsters to play with to take unusual yet effective strategies taking advantage of its high DEF.
In a game where players prefer an immediate outcome, Tribute Summoning "Labyrinth Wall" just to defend might seem a loose approach since can be easily taken down by one of many removal effects. Instead we should take some shortcuts on its arrival so a defensive creature doesn't become as expensive, ranging from "Unexpected Dai" and "The Monarchs Stormforth" providing a material with ease, to cards like "Chaos-End Master" and "Giant Rat" summoning it directly from our Deck (Preferably with an active card like "Stumbling" so doesn't stay in Attack Position"). If we invest our Deck all arround Rock monsters, "Doki Doki" gives us the option to summon it from our Deck in any position as long we match its Attribute and Level with the discarded monster as a cost. This is followed afterwards by a variety of revival effects giving it further uses beyond defending in late game, as several cards like "Silent Doom" and "Soul Resurrection" will keep summoning it to either keep defending or work as material for other summons. The latter is further encouraged by "Debris Dragon", taking advantage of "Labyrinth Wall" lack of ATK to summon it from the Graveyard and work together as materials.
While "Labyrinth Wall" can take the same approach as many other Normal Monsters to steadily work as material, its massive DEF gives it some creative approaches to even become a powerful threat under the right setup. If the opponent tries to battle against it while in Defense Position cards like "D2 Shield" and "Fairy Box" will make sure that not only is hardly defeated but deal considerable damage in return, specially if "Canyon" is active to further punish their attacks. Alternatively we can try to switch its stats with effects like "Ojama Country" and "Shield & Sword", overall becoming one of the strongest monsters in the game that requires a single tribute. If this is combined with "Inferno Reckless Summon" to summon all its copies at once as well similar counterparts like "Millenium Shield" and "Neo Aqua Madoor", is possible to create an OTK strategy aiming for several 3000 ATK monsters finishing off the opponent on the spot.
"Labyrinth Wall" suffers the same problems as any monster of its kind where relies on support as well can be easily replaced by cheaper alternatives like "Big Shield Gardna" or "Marshmallon" to defend ourselves from incoming attacks. However, with an impressive 3000 DEF "Labyrinth Wall" takes a creative approach to stand out among other Normal Monsters and pretty much encourage a Deck of its own. By either taking advantage of its lack of ATK to exploit summoning options and/or working with effects turning DEF into ATK, "Labyrinth Wall" might not be the most efficient monster out there but provides some interesting approaches beyond remaining in defense until taken down.
Personal Rating: B-
+ One of the monsters with the highest DEF arround its Level + Greatly supported from early to late game + Some strategies takes advantage of its DEF by turning it into ATK
- Overshadowed by better defensive options - Depends on cards and effects - Tribute Summoning a monster just to defend is not a wise investment
I wonder if Pegasus started drinking wine/fruit juice before Cecelia’s death, after her death, or after he got the Eye. (I wonder if Cecelia liked wine, too.)
The Paradoxical Guardians event has begun! :D Para and Dox have cool theme music, and to duel them we have to earn Maze Keys! This event is a little more complex than the others--aside from appearing at the Gate they appear in Duel World where you can choose a door. Para’s door leads to a stronger fight, and at high levels they can start the game with a powerful monster like Gate Guardian or Labyrinth Wall on the field! The game recommends cards to use against them like Jowls of Dark Demise or Stop Defense, since beating them head-on is a task the game itself describes as impossible. This is giving me Forbidden Memories flashbacks! Agh!
As playable characters, their skill ‘Elements Unite!’ lets you start a match with only 500 LP, but Suijin, Kazejin, and Sanga of the Thunder are on your field, with only Gate Guardian in your hand. High-risk, high-reward!
Paradox Brothers: We are the guardians of the gate! The Paradox Brothers are here to test your fate! Para: Oh the questions you must ponder, as this digital world you wander. Dox: What is the path to victory? Paradox Brothers: What is the path to rewards? After you duel us, you will wonder no more! Para: If you win, we shall grant you a prize. Dox: But it won’t be easy, that should come as no surprise. Paradox Brothers: Because we are the guardians of Duel Links! Here to make you extinct! If you dare flee, you will be lost in the darkness for eternity! Hahahaha!
