Sighing heavily to herself Step collapsed on the ground, face down in the grass. Traveling again at last. 

She turned onto her back (the grass smelled a little funny) and took off her hat. The girl was still wearing her uniform after a long day at work. Javier was out hunting, and she finally had some time to herself. Sitting up, she dusted off her waistcoat and slightly loosened her tie. Step quickly retrieved a book her her backpack and laid back down contently, ready for some peaceful silence all by herself.

((So I was trying to solidify my human!Step designs and I came up with this headcanon that human Nebulas have button noses and sticky-outy ears))

(Laxy) Song: We're a couple of misfits

"Come on then, Christmas movie time!" Step pushed a red couch in front of the flat screen television and dusted off the cushions. The sofa usually sat in the corner forgotten; Step preferred the giant pile of bean bags. But today the girl figured a couch was appropriate.

"Movie…?" Laxy asked curiously. "Like a Move-y picture thing?"

"Pictures that move, yeah, pretty much. I don’t that’s why they’re called movies though. We’ll start off with one of the classics I should think." Step ran her fingers along the movie stack until she found what she was looking for. The nomad pulled out the stop motion version of "Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer" and put it in the DVD player. 

It was funny to see how astounded Laxy was. The purple nomad kept marveling at the screen and “move-y pictures”. His eyes were glued to the screen.

After a while he had grown quiet, until a certain song was being sung.

Step heard her brother quietly remark, “That’s kinda like us…” They watched a little while longer.

"Yeah," Step grinned. "Kind of."
