I want to be a streamer on Twitch but I am very shy and quiet and I have a hard time talking to people and thinking of what to talk about or say. I would not have a camera because I'm self-conscious and have low self-esteem. I would stream it right from my Xbox through the Twitch app. Now would be a perfect time to start, because I JUST started playing Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect. The only thing I'd need is a headset, because the only headphones I have that also have a mic are my apple head phones, and they don't work very well plugged into the controller. I struggle with this in my photography. I set out to make images with ideas in my head only, too often, to come home with nothing. Because it feels like it’s all been done before, like it’s all derivative. And truth be told, it has and is. Photography has been around for a LOOONG time. If I can think of it someone else, almost certainly, already has. What I have to learn to remember is, it doesn’t lessen my work if someone has done something similar before. Every image is a capture of a singular, present moment in time. That very attribute makes my image different than anyone else’s. It might be similar but it IS different. Even two different people capturing the same scene at the same time will make slightly different images due to the way they individually “see” the scene. I’m adding this quote to the cover of my idea book so I’ll hopefully remember it more when I need it most.
