i need more anything of senna and tonraq
Holy shit I forgot how hot Korra's dad is.
That's it.

We all know that korra got her hard headedness largely from tonraq, but i like to imagine she got it a bit from Senna in a different way.
Like senna is incredibly quiet and relaxed in canon, she much more emotional even if tonraq himself shows he's pretty emotional at times regarding korra.
I like to imagine senna never let tonraq get away with anything when they started dating. Like he was pretty emotionally messed up after his exile and likely had negative opinions about the southern tribe after being raised in the north his whole life and this soft spoken seemingly passive southern water tribe nonbender(?) just starts like conditioning him to be less of a jersey. She's the only one who just treats him nice right out the gate so if he does something mean she avoids him for a full day, does something nice and oddly enough she's got a bit too much food that she needs to get rid of.
This egotistical man from the north slowly becoming an upstanding member of the tribe because the most calm person there in her own way strong arms him into being a better person.
Part 3 of tonraq x reader where korra calls her mommy? 👀
A/n: I AM SO SORRY THIS TOOK ME FOREVER! I HAD IT IN MY DRAFTS
It was quiet.
One of those rare, peaceful moments where the wind wasn’t biting, the tribe had settled into a calm rhythm, and nothing, miraculously was on fire.
You sat just outside the hut, legs stretched out in the snow, a small, gentle flame dancing lazily between your fingers. Not for show this time, just warmth.
Korra sat beside you, bundled up but restless, as always.
She leaned into you without thinking.
She always did.
“You’re bored,” you murmured, glancing down at her.
She huffed, dramatic for someone so small. “There’s nothing to do.”
You gasped softly. “Excuse you? I am right here.”
She grinned.
You narrowed your eyes, then flicked your wrist slightly, making the flame split into tiny glowing shapes, little animals this time, hopping and spinning in the air.
That got her attention immediately.
“There we go,” you said smugly.
Korra leaned closer, watching intently as the tiny fire-creatures danced.
“Can I try?” she asked.
“Mm… not yet,” you said gently. “You’re still working on not setting things on fire by accident.”
She frowned.
You raised a brow. “Don’t give me that look. I’ve seen what you can do.”
“That was one time.”
“That was five times.”
She crossed her arms then puffed out her cheeks in an adorable scene that made you snort softly.
Behind you, footsteps approached, steady, familiar.
Tonraq.
You didn’t turn right away, but you felt him there, his presence settling like something solid and grounding at your back.
He paused just outside, watching the two of you.
Korra leaned a little more into you, her head bumping lightly against your arm as she tracked the flame shapes.
“…mommy, look—”
You stilled, the flame flickered then went out as silence followed.
Korra didn’t seem to notice of course. She was still pointing, still focused, still completely unaware of what she’d just said.
You stared at her. “…what did you just call me?” you asked, voice quieter than usual.
Korra blinked, finally looking up at you. “…mommy?” she repeated, like it was obvious. Like it had always been that.
Like it fit.
Your breath caught, your eyes misting for a moment.
Tonraq went completely still behind you.
You looked at her, really looked this time.At the way she leaned into you. At the way her little hand had already reached for yours again without thinking.
At how natural it felt.
“…Korra,” you started, softer now, something unfamiliar threading into your voice. “I’m not—”
She frowned immediately.
Not upset.
Just confused.
“But you are,” she said.
Simple and certain.
Your heart did something uncomfortable in your chest. You opened your mouth then closed it because what were you supposed to say to that?
Behind you, Tonraq hadn’t moved, hadn't said a word.
But his gaze, you could feel it.
You exhaled slowly, looking back down at her, your expression softening despite yourself. “…I’m not your real mom,” you said gently.
Korra shrugged her little shoulders. “I know,” she said. Then, like it didn’t change anything at all, she reached up and grabbed your sleeve again.
“…but you’re still my mommy.” Korra leaned into you again, already moving on, already content.
Because for her? This wasn’t a big moment, this was just...the truth.
You swallowed lightly, then let out a small breath, your hand coming up almost automatically to brush her hair back.
“…you’re gonna get me in trouble saying things like that,” you murmured.
She smiled and Tonraq finally moved.
Just one step closer.
Close enough now that you could feel the warmth of him at your back, even in the cold. “…You don’t have to correct her,” he said quietly.
You glanced back at him, his expression wasn’t teasing, it wasn't amused. It was steady and honest.
“…That’s a big word,” you said softly.
“It is.”
“And she doesn’t fully understand it yet.”
Tonraq’s gaze shifted briefly to Korra, then back to you. “…She understands enough...So do I.”
That made your chest tighten, you looked away first. “…You’re both very bold today,” you muttered, trying and failing to bring back your usual tone.
Korra beamed up at you. “Mommy,” she said again, just to test it.
You exhaled sharply through your nose, like you were annoyed. “…Yeah?” you answered anyway.
Tonraq didn’t miss it.
Didn’t miss the way you didn’t correct her this time.
Didn’t miss the way your hand stayed resting gently against her back, or the way you didn’t pull away and for once you didn’t trip. You just sat there, quiet, with Korra tucked against your side…
And let the word settle.
