Concept: Anti being a punk boi with a motorcycle… with Yan’s arms wrapped around him. Yan’s head against Anti’s back, eyes closed as Anti’s driving, they smile and think about much they love him, their grip tightens around his middle.
“You o̧kay͢,̷ ̵b͢ab͘ỳgirl?̡” Anti asks them, sounding slightly worried.
Yan sighs against his back, heart racing in their chest,
“Perfect.”
I dozed off while reading a book about Aphrodite and was woken up by the sound of a mourning dove cooing right outside the window I was by. I ended up getting the urge to bake some apples, so my wife and I made an apple crisp from scratch. The house smells amazing, our girlfriend has apple scraps to add to her gardening compost, and we have a yummy treat. Aphrodite reminds me to smile today.
Learning how to correctly make these spritz cookies with my mother (while listening to musicals, of course) to keep passing on the tradition of them. The number of times I have attempted to make them and have cried over these finicky but delicous cookies is too many. They were passed down by my Czech grandmother to my mother with VERY little instructions jotted down over a phone call years ago and have been a huge family tradition since my childhood.
My mother sympathizes with the tears these cookies can cause, and I hope that taking the notes I did leads me to success so that I may make them for my own holidays and festivals on my calendar.
Got myself a library card and I'm doing some study up to get more indepth into ancient Greek culture. Found this book:
"Ancient Greece: everyday life in the birthplace of western civilization" by Robert Garland
The start of the book goes over the Ancient Greece timeline. I forgot I am terrible at history and geography. it's hard to follow at some points, but I got this.
A gift from my book loving father that I just got in the mail! I've wanted this for so long, I'm thinking of posting my studying on here as well if anyone's interested.
Me every first day of the lunar calendar
(yes I know it's pronounced not quite like Mia but please I'm just a silly goose)
Aphrodisia Planning + Life Update
My wife and I had to move to a new city very very short notice so my life is thrown completely off it's routine, meaning my spiritual practice has been off and I feel very overwhelmed. Trying to get back into my spiritual groove, so I will be celebrating Aphrodisia on June 9th & 10th (2024), I can't really speak for future me but this is some ideas I have for it:
Set up a make shift altar to the best of my abilities, with an offering
Take a nice bath or shower for Aphrodite with a rose sugar scrub
Have a nice meal Wednesday: mussel and shrimp linguini with bread, roasted root veggies, some sort of fun dessert, and lemonade
Spend time with my wife
Watch something romantic
